About
Mission
BibleInTongues exists to make public-domain Bible reading simpler across multiple languages. The site is designed for people who want a clean reading experience, direct links to passages, and simple topical navigation.
The focus is speed, clarity, and accessibility. Verse text is rendered server-side so readers and crawlers can access the content without relying on JavaScript-heavy interfaces.
Texts and translations
The biblical texts used here are public-domain translations with required attribution and source links preserved. English, Spanish, and Portuguese readers can use the same site structure while reading translations appropriate to each locale.
Portuguese for Brazil and Portugal uses the same public-domain Bible text at launch, while the interface and original site copy are localized for each audience.
Editorial value
Beyond the biblical text itself, BibleInTongues adds original topical intros, reading-plan guidance, devotional pages, share tools, and practical guides for readers who want help starting or structuring their reading.
The aim is to keep those additions useful and restrained. The site should point the reader back to the text rather than bury it.
How the site is maintained
The site is designed to stay operationally simple: public-domain texts, direct server rendering, traceable source data, and a small editorial layer that can be reviewed and improved over time.
Trust pages, FAQs, and book-overview pages exist to explain those choices clearly rather than hiding them behind generic marketing copy.
