FAQ
These answers explain how the site is put together, what is original about it, and how to use the main page types well.
What is original on BibleInTongues?
The biblical text itself is public domain. The original value on the site comes from the reading tools, the structure, the multilingual interface, the topic intros, the reading-plan guidance, the question pages, and the editorial pages.
The goal is not to replace the biblical text, but to make it easier to enter, navigate, and return to.
Why do some pages say noindex?
Passage-only share pages and utility pages are intentionally kept out of search indexing so the site does not generate endless thin duplicates.
The main indexed surfaces are chapter pages, published topics, published reading plans, guides, questions, and the new trust/editorial pages.
Why do Portugal and Brazil share the same Bible text?
At launch the site uses one public-domain Portuguese translation for both audiences. The text is shared, but the interface and editorial copy can still be localized separately.
That keeps the text source stable while the surrounding reading experience remains audience-aware.
How should I use topics and plans?
Use them as entry points, not as replacements for context. A good next step after any topic or plan day is to keep reading the surrounding chapter.
The strongest habit on the site is still direct chapter reading.
Does the site use AI?
AI can be used as a constrained drafting assistant for certain editorial surfaces, but it is not treated as a source of truth for references or biblical facts.
References should come from the site database and controlled seed files, and important content should remain reviewable.
