Trouxeram a arca de Deus e a colocaram no meio da tenda que Davi havia armado para ela; e ofereceram holocaustos e ofertas pacíficas diante de Deus.

Quando Davi terminou de oferecer os holocaustos e as ofertas pacíficas, ele abençoou o povo no nome do SENHOR.
- 3
Ele distribuiu a todos os israelitas, tanto homens como mulheres, a cada um, um pão, uma porção de carne e um bolo de passas.

Ele designou alguns dos levitas para ministrar diante da arca do SENHOR, e para celebrar, render graças e louvar ao SENHOR, o Deus de Israel:
- 5
Asafe, o chefe, e Zacarias como o segundo depois dele, e depois Jeiel, Semiramote, Jeiel, Matitias, Eliabe, Benaia, Obede-Edom e Jeiel, com instrumentos de cordas e com harpas; e Asafe com címbalos ressoantes;
- 6
com Benaia e Jaaziel, os sacerdotes, tocando trombetas continuamente diante da arca da aliança de Deus.
- 7
Então, naquele dia, Davi pela primeira vez encarregou Asafe e seus irmãos de renderem graças ao SENHOR.
- 8
Deem graças ao SENHOR. Invoquem o seu nome. Tornem conhecidos os seus feitos entre os povos.
- 9
Cantem para ele. Cantem louvores a ele. Falem de todas as suas obras maravilhosas.
- 10
Gloriem-se no seu santo nome. Alegre-se o coração dos que buscam o SENHOR.
- 11
Busquem o SENHOR e a sua força. Busquem a sua face para sempre.
- 12
Lembrem-se das obras maravilhosas que ele fez, dos seus prodígios e dos juízos da sua boca,
- 13
vocês, descendência de Israel, seu servo, vocês, filhos de Jacó, seus escolhidos.
- 14
Ele é o SENHOR, o nosso Deus. Seus juízos estão em toda a terra.
- 15
Lembrem-se da sua aliança para sempre, da palavra que ele ordenou para mil gerações,
- 16
da aliança que fez com Abraão, do seu juramento a Isaque.
- 17
Ele a confirmou a Jacó como um decreto, e a Israel como uma aliança eterna,
- 18
dizendo: “Darei a você a terra de Canaã, a porção da sua herança”,
- 19
quando vocês eram apenas uns poucos homens em número, sim, muito poucos, e estrangeiros nela.
- 20
Eles andaram de nação em nação, de um reino para outro povo.
- 21
Ele não permitiu que ninguém os oprimisse. Sim, ele repreendeu reis por causa deles,
- 22
“Não toquem nos meus ungidos! Não façam mal aos meus profetas!”
- 23
Cantem ao SENHOR, toda a terra! Anunciem a sua salvação dia após dia.
- 24
Declarem a sua glória entre as nações, e as suas obras maravilhosas entre todos os povos.
- 25
Pois grande é o SENHOR, e digno de ser muito louvado. Ele também deve ser temido acima de todos os deuses.
- 26
Porque todos os deuses dos povos são ídolos, mas o SENHOR fez os céus.
- 27
Honra e majestade estão diante dele. Força e alegria estão no seu santuário.
- 28
Atribuam ao SENHOR, ó famílias dos povos, atribuam ao SENHOR glória e força!
- 29
Atribuam ao SENHOR a glória devida ao seu nome. Tragam uma oferta e venham diante dele. Adorem o SENHOR no esplendor da sua santidade.
- 30
Tremam diante dele, toda a terra. O mundo também está firmado para que não possa ser abalado.
- 31
Alegrem-se os céus, e exulte a terra! Digam entre as nações: “O SENHOR reina!”
- 32
Rúja o mar e a sua plenitude! Exulte o campo e tudo o que nele há!
- 33
Então as árvores do bosque cantarão de alegria diante do SENHOR, pois ele vem para julgar a terra.
- 34
Deem graças ao SENHOR, porque ele é bom, porque a sua misericórdia dura para sempre.
- 35
Digam: “Salva-nos, ó Deus da nossa salvação! Reúne-nos e livra-nos das nações, para darmos graças ao teu santo nome, e triunfarmos no teu louvor.”
- 36
Bendito seja o SENHOR, o Deus de Israel, de eternidade a eternidade. Todo o povo disse: “Amém”, e louvou ao SENHOR.
- 37
Então ele deixou Asafe e seus irmãos ali diante da arca da aliança do SENHOR, para ministrarem continuamente diante da arca, conforme a exigência de cada dia;

e Obede-Edom com seus sessenta e oito parentes; também Obede-Edom, filho de Jedutum, e Hosa, para serem porteiros;
- 39
e Zadoque, o sacerdote, e seus irmãos, os sacerdotes, diante do tabernáculo do SENHOR, no lugar alto que estava em Gibeom,
- 40
para oferecerem holocaustos ao SENHOR no altar de holocaustos, continuamente, pela manhã e à tarde, de acordo com tudo o que está escrito na lei do SENHOR, que ele ordenou a Israel;
- 41
e com eles Hemã, Jedutum e os demais que foram escolhidos, que foram designados por nome, para renderem graças ao SENHOR, porque a sua misericórdia dura para sempre;
- 42
e com eles Hemã e Jedutum com trombetas e címbalos para os que deviam ressoar alto, e com instrumentos para os cânticos de Deus; e os filhos de Jedutum para estarem à porta.
- 43
Todo o povo partiu, cada um para a sua casa; e Davi voltou para abençoar a sua casa.

They brought in God’s ark, and set it in the middle of the tent that David had pitched for it; and they offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before God.
- 2
When David had finished offering the burnt offering and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the LORD’s name.
- 3
He gave to everyone of Israel, both man and woman, to everyone a loaf of bread, a portion of meat, and a cake of raisins.
- 4
He appointed some of the Levites to minister before the LORD’s ark, and to commemorate, to thank, and to praise the LORD, the God of Israel:
- 5
Asaph the chief, and second to him Zechariah, then Jeiel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-Edom, and Jeiel, with stringed instruments and with harps; and Asaph with cymbals, sounding aloud;
- 6
with Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually, before the ark of the covenant of God.
- 7
Then on that day David first ordained giving of thanks to the LORD by the hand of Asaph and his brothers.
- 8
Oh give thanks to the LORD. Call on his name. Make what he has done known among the peoples.
- 9
Sing to him. Sing praises to him. Tell of all his marvelous works.
- 10
Glory in his holy name. Let the heart of those who seek the LORD rejoice.
- 11
Seek the LORD and his strength. Seek his face forever more.
- 12
Remember his marvelous works that he has done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth,
- 13
you offspring of Israel his servant, you children of Jacob, his chosen ones.
- 14
He is the LORD our God. His judgments are in all the earth.
- 15
Remember his covenant forever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations,
- 16
the covenant which he made with Abraham, his oath to Isaac.
- 17
He confirmed it to Jacob for a statute, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant,
- 18
saying, “I will give you the land of Canaan, The lot of your inheritance,”
- 19
when you were but a few men in number, yes, very few, and foreigners in it.
- 20
They went about from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people.
- 21
He allowed no man to do them wrong. Yes, he reproved kings for their sakes,
- 22
“Don’t touch my anointed ones! Do my prophets no harm!”
- 23
Sing to the LORD, all the earth! Display his salvation from day to day.
- 24
Declare his glory among the nations, and his marvelous works among all the peoples.
- 25
For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised. He also is to be feared above all gods.
- 26
For all the gods of the peoples are idols, but the LORD made the heavens.
- 27
Honor and majesty are before him. Strength and gladness are in his place.
- 28
Ascribe to the LORD, you families of the peoples, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength!
- 29
Ascribe to the LORD the glory due to his name. Bring an offering, and come before him. Worship the LORD in holy array.
- 30
Tremble before him, all the earth. The world also is established that it can’t be moved.
- 31
Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice! Let them say among the nations, “The LORD reigns!”
- 32
Let the sea roar, and its fullness! Let the field exult, and all that is in it!
- 33
Then the trees of the forest will sing for joy before the LORD, for he comes to judge the earth.
- 34
Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever.
- 35
Say, “Save us, God of our salvation! Gather us together and deliver us from the nations, to give thanks to your holy name, to triumph in your praise.”
- 36
Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting even to everlasting. All the people said, “Amen,” and praised the LORD.
- 37
So he left Asaph and his brothers there before the ark of the LORD’s covenant, to minister before the ark continually, as every day’s work required;
- 38
and Obed-Edom with their sixty-eight relatives; Obed-Edom also the son of Jeduthun and Hosah to be doorkeepers;
- 39
and Zadok the priest and his brothers the priests, before the LORD’s tabernacle in the high place that was at Gibeon,
- 40
to offer burnt offerings to the LORD on the altar of burnt offering continually morning and evening, even according to all that is written in the LORD’s law, which he commanded to Israel;
- 41
and with them Heman and Jeduthun and the rest who were chosen, who were mentioned by name, to give thanks to the LORD, because his loving kindness endures forever;
- 42
and with them Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those that should sound aloud, and with instruments for the songs of God, and the sons of Jeduthun to be at the gate.

All the people departed, each man to his house; and David returned to bless his house.
