Ele me disse: “Filho do homem, ponha-se de pé, e eu falarei com você.”

O Espírito entrou em mim quando ele falou comigo, e me pôs de pé; e eu ouvi aquele que falava comigo.

Ele me disse: “Filho do homem, eu o envio aos filhos de Israel, a uma nação de rebeldes que se rebelaram contra mim. Eles e seus pais transgrediram contra mim até o dia de hoje.

Os filhos são insolentes e de coração duro. Eu o envio a eles, e você lhes dirá: ‘Assim diz o Senhor DEUS.’

Eles, quer ouçam, quer deixem de ouvir — pois são uma casa rebelde —, ainda assim saberão que houve um profeta no meio deles.

Você, filho do homem, não tenha medo deles, nem tenha medo de suas palavras, ainda que sarças e espinhos estejam com você, e você habite entre escorpiões. Não tenha medo de suas palavras, nem se intimide com seus olhares, embora sejam uma casa rebelde.

Você falará as minhas palavras a eles, quer ouçam, quer deixem de ouvir; pois são extremamente rebeldes.

Mas você, filho do homem, ouça o que eu lhe digo. Não seja rebelde como aquela casa rebelde. Abra a sua boca, e coma o que eu lhe dou.”

Quando olhei, eis que uma mão estava estendida para mim; e eis que nela havia o rolo de um livro.

Ele o estendeu diante de mim. Estava escrito por dentro e por fora; e lamentações, pranto e ais estavam escritos nele.

He said to me, “Son of man, stand on your feet, and I will speak with you.”

The Spirit entered into me when he spoke to me, and set me on my feet; and I heard him who spoke to me.

He said to me, “Son of man, I send you to the children of Israel, to a nation of rebels who have rebelled against me. They and their fathers have transgressed against me even to this very day.

The children are impudent and stiff-hearted. I am sending you to them, and you shall tell them, ‘This is what the Lord GOD says.’

They, whether they will hear, or whether they will refuse—for they are a rebellious house—yet they will know that there has been a prophet among them.
6
You, son of man, don’t be afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you, and you dwell among scorpions. Don’t be afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house.
7
You shall speak my words to them, whether they will hear or whether they will refuse; for they are most rebellious.
8
But you, son of man, hear what I tell you. Don’t be rebellious like that rebellious house. Open your mouth, and eat that which I give you.”
9
When I looked, behold, a hand was stretched out to me; and behold, a scroll of a book was in it.
10
He spread it before me. It was written within and without; and lamentations, mourning, and woe were written in it.
