Ele entrou novamente na sinagoga, e estava lá um homem cuja mão estava murcha.

Eles o observavam, se ele iria curá-lo no dia de sábado, para que o acusassem.

Ele disse ao homem cuja mão estava murcha: “Levante-se”.

Ele lhes disse: “É lícito no dia de sábado fazer o bem ou fazer o mal? Para salvar uma vida ou para matar?” Mas eles ficaram em silêncio.
5
Quando ele havia olhado ao redor deles com raiva, sofrendo com o endurecimento de seus corações, disse ao homem: “Estenda sua mão”. Ele a estendeu, e sua mão foi restaurada tão saudável quanto a outra.
6
Os fariseus saíram, e imediatamente conspiraram com os herodianos contra ele, como eles poderiam destruí-lo.
7
Jesus retirou-se para o mar com seus discípulos; e uma grande multidão o seguiu da Galiléia, da Judéia,
8
de Jerusalém, de Iduméia, além do Jordão, e os que vinham dos arredores de Tiro e Sidom. Uma grande multidão, ouvindo as grandes coisas que ele fazia, veio até ele.
9
Ele falou a seus discípulos que um barquinho deveria ficar perto dele por causa da multidão, para que eles não o pressionassem.
10
Pois ele havia curado muitos, para que todos os que tinham doenças o pressionassem para que o pudessem tocar.
11
Os espíritos imundos, sempre que o viam, caíam diante dele e gritavam: “Você é o Filho de Deus”!
12
Ele os advertiu severamente que não deveriam dá-lo a conhecer.
13
Ele subiu na montanha e chamou para si aqueles que ele queria, e eles foram até ele.
14
Ele indicou doze, para que estivessem com ele, e para que os enviasse a pregar
15
e ter autoridade para curar doenças e expulsar demônios:
16
Simão (a quem ele deu o nome de Pedro);
17
Tiago, filho de Zebedeu; e João, irmão de Tiago (a quem ele chamou de Boanerges, que significa Filhos do Trovão);
18
André; Filipe; Bartolomeu; Mateus; Tomé; Tiago, filho de Alfeu; Tadeu; Simão, o Zelote;
19
e Judas Iscariotes, que também o traiu. Depois ele entrou em uma casa.
20
A multidão se reuniu novamente, de modo que não podiam nem mesmo comer pão.
21
Quando seus amigos o ouviram, saíram para apreendê-lo; pois disseram: “Ele é louco”.
22
Os escribas que desceram de Jerusalém disseram: “Ele tem Belzebu”, e “Pelo príncipe dos demônios ele expulsa os demônios”.
23
Ele os convocou e lhes disse em parábolas: “Como Satanás pode expulsar Satanás?
24
Se um reino está dividido contra si mesmo, esse reino não pode permanecer de pé.
25
Se uma casa está dividida contra si mesma, essa casa não pode permanecer de pé.
26
Se Satanás se levantou contra si mesmo, e está dividido, ele não pode permanecer de pé, mas tem um fim.
27
Mas ninguém pode entrar na casa do homem forte para saquear, a menos que ele primeiro amarre o homem forte; então ele saqueará sua casa.
28
“Certamente vos digo que todos os pecados dos descendentes dos homens serão perdoados, incluindo suas blasfêmias com as quais eles podem blasfemar;
29
mas quem quer que blasfeme contra o Espírito Santo nunca tem perdão, mas está sujeito à condenação eterna”.
30
- porque eles disseram: “Ele tem um espírito impuro”.
31
Sua mãe e seus irmãos vieram e, parados do lado de fora, mandaram chamá-lo.
32
Uma multidão estava sentada ao seu redor e lhe disseram: “Eis que sua mãe, seus irmãos e suas irmãs estão lá fora procurando por você”.
33
Ele lhes respondeu: “Quem são minha mãe e meus irmãos?”
34
Olhando ao redor daqueles que se sentaram ao seu redor, ele disse: “Eis minha mãe e meus irmãos!
35
Pois quem faz a vontade de Deus é meu irmão, minha irmã e minha mãe”.

He entered again into the synagogue, and there was a man there whose hand was withered.
2
They watched him, whether he would heal him on the Sabbath day, that they might accuse him.
3
He said to the man whose hand was withered, “Stand up.”
4
He said to them, “Is it lawful on the Sabbath day to do good or to do harm? To save a life or to kill?” But they were silent.
5
When he had looked around at them with anger, being grieved at the hardening of their hearts, he said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was restored as healthy as the other.
6
The Pharisees went out, and immediately conspired with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.
7
Jesus withdrew to the sea with his disciples; and a great multitude followed him from Galilee, from Judea,
8
from Jerusalem, from Idumaea, beyond the Jordan, and those from around Tyre and Sidon. A great multitude, hearing what great things he did, came to him.
9
He spoke to his disciples that a little boat should stay near him because of the crowd, so that they wouldn’t press on him.
10
For he had healed many, so that as many as had diseases pressed on him that they might touch him.
11
The unclean spirits, whenever they saw him, fell down before him and cried, “You are the Son of God!”
12
He sternly warned them that they should not make him known.
13
He went up into the mountain and called to himself those whom he wanted, and they went to him.
14
He appointed twelve, that they might be with him, and that he might send them out to preach
15
and to have authority to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons:
16
Simon (to whom he gave the name Peter);
17
James the son of Zebedee; and John, the brother of James, (whom he called Boanerges, which means, Sons of Thunder);
18
Andrew; Philip; Bartholomew; Matthew; Thomas; James, the son of Alphaeus; Thaddaeus; Simon the Zealot;
19
and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him. Then he came into a house.
20
The multitude came together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.
21
When his friends heard it, they went out to seize him; for they said, “He is insane.”
22
The scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, “He has Beelzebul,” and, “By the prince of the demons he casts out the demons.”
23
He summoned them and said to them in parables, “How can Satan cast out Satan?
24
If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
25
If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
26
If Satan has risen up against himself, and is divided, he can’t stand, but has an end.
27
But no one can enter into the house of the strong man to plunder unless he first binds the strong man; then he will plunder his house.
28
“Most certainly I tell you, all sins of the descendants of man will be forgiven, including their blasphemies with which they may blaspheme;
29
but whoever may blaspheme against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation.”
30
—because they said, “He has an unclean spirit.”
31
His mother and his brothers came, and standing outside, they sent to him, calling him.
32
A multitude was sitting around him, and they told him, “Behold, your mother, your brothers, and your sisters are outside looking for you.”
33
He answered them, “Who are my mother and my brothers?”
34
Looking around at those who sat around him, he said, “Behold, my mother and my brothers!
35
For whoever does the will of God is my brother, my sister, and mother.”
