O SENHOR falou a Moisés, dizendo:
- 2
“No primeiro dia do primeiro mês, você levantará o tabernáculo da Tenda do Encontro.
- 3
Você colocará a arca da aliança nele, e cobrirá a arca com o véu.
- 4
Você trará a mesa e colocará em ordem as coisas que estão sobre ela. Você trará o candelabro e acenderá as suas lâmpadas.
- 5
Você colocará o altar de ouro para o incenso diante da arca da aliança, e colocará a cortina da porta do tabernáculo.
- 6
“Você colocará o altar do holocausto diante da porta do tabernáculo da Tenda do Encontro.
- 7
Você colocará a bacia entre a Tenda do Encontro e o altar, e porá água nela.
- 8
Você armará o pátio ao redor, e pendurará a cortina da porta do pátio.
- 9
“Você pegará o óleo da unção e ungirá o tabernáculo e tudo o que nele há; você o consagrará com todos os seus utensílios, e ele será santo.
- 10
Você ungirá o altar do holocausto, com todos os seus utensílios, e santificará o altar, e o altar será santíssimo.
- 11
Você ungirá a bacia e a sua base, e a santificará.
- 12
“Você trará Arão e seus filhos à porta da Tenda do Encontro, e os lavará com água.
- 13
Você vestirá Arão com as vestes sagradas; você o ungirá e o santificará, para que me sirva no ofício sacerdotal.
- 14
Você trará os filhos dele e os vestirá com túnicas.
- 15
Você os ungirá, assim como ungiu o pai deles, para que me sirvam no ofício sacerdotal. A unção deles lhes servirá para um sacerdócio perpétuo por todas as suas gerações.”

Moisés fez assim. De acordo com tudo o que o SENHOR lhe ordenou, assim ele fez.

No primeiro mês do segundo ano, no primeiro dia do mês, o tabernáculo foi levantado.
- 18
Moisés levantou o tabernáculo, assentou as suas bases, armou as suas tábuas, colocou as suas travessas e levantou as suas colunas.
- 19
Ele estendeu a cobertura sobre a tenda, e colocou o teto do tabernáculo por cima dela, como o SENHOR ordenou a Moisés.
- 20
Ele pegou e colocou a aliança dentro da arca, fixou as varas na arca, e colocou o propiciatório por cima da arca.
- 21
Ele trouxe a arca para dentro do tabernáculo, armou o véu de separação e cobriu a arca da aliança, como o SENHOR ordenou a Moisés.
- 22
Ele colocou a mesa na Tenda do Encontro, no lado norte do tabernáculo, do lado de fora do véu.
- 23
Ele colocou o pão em ordem sobre ela perante o SENHOR, como o SENHOR ordenou a Moisés.
- 24
Ele colocou o candelabro na Tenda do Encontro, em frente à mesa, no lado sul do tabernáculo.
- 25
Ele acendeu as lâmpadas perante o SENHOR, como o SENHOR ordenou a Moisés.
- 26
Ele colocou o altar de ouro na Tenda do Encontro, diante do véu;
- 27
e queimou sobre ele incenso de especiarias aromáticas, como o SENHOR ordenou a Moisés.
- 28
Ele colocou a cortina da porta do tabernáculo.
- 29
Ele colocou o altar do holocausto à porta do tabernáculo da Tenda do Encontro, e ofereceu sobre ele o holocausto e a oferta de cereais, como o SENHOR ordenou a Moisés.

Ele colocou a bacia entre a Tenda do Encontro e o altar, e pôs água nela, para se lavarem.
- 31
Moisés, Arão e os filhos dele lavaram as mãos e os pés ali.
- 32
Quando entravam na Tenda do Encontro e quando se aproximavam do altar, eles se lavavam, como o SENHOR ordenou a Moisés.
- 33
Ele armou o pátio ao redor do tabernáculo e do altar, e colocou a cortina da porta do pátio. Assim, Moisés terminou a obra.
- 34
Então a nuvem cobriu a Tenda do Encontro, e a glória do SENHOR encheu o tabernáculo.
- 35
Moisés não conseguia entrar na Tenda do Encontro, porque a nuvem permanecia sobre ela, e a glória do SENHOR enchia o tabernáculo.
- 36
Quando a nuvem se levantava de sobre o tabernáculo, os filhos de Israel seguiam adiante, em todas as suas jornadas;
- 37
mas, se a nuvem não se levantava, então eles não viajavam até o dia em que ela se levantasse.
- 38
Pois a nuvem do SENHOR estava sobre o tabernáculo de dia, e havia fogo na nuvem de noite, à vista de toda a casa de Israel, em todas as suas jornadas.

The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
- 2
“On the first day of the first month you shall raise up the tabernacle of the Tent of Meeting.
- 3
You shall put the ark of the covenant in it, and you shall screen the ark with the veil.
- 4
You shall bring in the table, and set in order the things that are on it. You shall bring in the lamp stand, and light its lamps.
- 5
You shall set the golden altar for incense before the ark of the covenant, and put the screen of the door to the tabernacle.
- 6
“You shall set the altar of burnt offering before the door of the tabernacle of the Tent of Meeting.
- 7
You shall set the basin between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and shall put water therein.
- 8
You shall set up the court around it, and hang up the screen of the gate of the court.
- 9
“You shall take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle and all that is in it, and shall make it holy, and all its furniture, and it will be holy.
- 10
You shall anoint the altar of burnt offering, with all its vessels, and sanctify the altar, and the altar will be most holy.
- 11
You shall anoint the basin and its base, and sanctify it.
- 12
“You shall bring Aaron and his sons to the door of the Tent of Meeting, and shall wash them with water.
- 13
You shall put on Aaron the holy garments; and you shall anoint him, and sanctify him, that he may minister to me in the priest’s office.
- 14
You shall bring his sons, and put tunics on them.
- 15
You shall anoint them, as you anointed their father, that they may minister to me in the priest’s office. Their anointing shall be to them for an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.”

Moses did so. According to all that the LORD commanded him, so he did.
- 17
In the first month in the second year, on the first day of the month, the tabernacle was raised up.
- 18
Moses raised up the tabernacle, and laid its sockets, and set up its boards, and put in its bars, and raised up its pillars.
- 19
He spread the covering over the tent, and put the roof of the tabernacle above on it, as the LORD commanded Moses.
- 20
He took and put the covenant into the ark, and set the poles on the ark, and put the mercy seat above on the ark.
- 21
He brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up the veil of the screen, and screened the ark of the covenant, as the LORD commanded Moses.
- 22
He put the table in the Tent of Meeting, on the north side of the tabernacle, outside of the veil.
- 23
He set the bread in order on it before the LORD, as the LORD commanded Moses.
- 24
He put the lamp stand in the Tent of Meeting, opposite the table, on the south side of the tabernacle.
- 25
He lit the lamps before the LORD, as the LORD commanded Moses.
- 26
He put the golden altar in the Tent of Meeting before the veil;
- 27
and he burned incense of sweet spices on it, as the LORD commanded Moses.
- 28
He put up the screen of the door to the tabernacle.
- 29
He set the altar of burnt offering at the door of the tabernacle of the Tent of Meeting, and offered on it the burnt offering and the meal offering, as the LORD commanded Moses.

He set the basin between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and put water therein, with which to wash.
- 31
Moses, Aaron, and his sons washed their hands and their feet there.
- 32
When they went into the Tent of Meeting, and when they came near to the altar, they washed, as the LORD commanded Moses.
- 33
He raised up the court around the tabernacle and the altar, and set up the screen of the gate of the court. So Moses finished the work.
- 34
Then the cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and the LORD’s glory filled the tabernacle.
- 35
Moses wasn’t able to enter into the Tent of Meeting, because the cloud stayed on it, and the LORD’s glory filled the tabernacle.
- 36
When the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward, throughout all their journeys;
- 37
but if the cloud wasn’t taken up, then they didn’t travel until the day that it was taken up.
- 38
For the cloud of the LORD was on the tabernacle by day, and there was fire in the cloud by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.
