O SENHOR disse a Moisés: “Agora você verá o que farei a Faraó; pois por mão forte ele os deixará ir, e por mão forte ele os expulsará de sua terra.”

Deus falou a Moisés, e lhe disse: “Eu sou o SENHOR.
- 3
Apareci a Abraão, a Isaque e a Jacó, como Deus Todo-Poderoso; mas pelo meu nome, o SENHOR , não fui conhecido por eles.
- 4
Também estabeleci a minha aliança com eles, para lhes dar a terra de Canaã, a terra de suas peregrinações, na qual viveram como estrangeiros.
- 5
Além disso, ouvi o gemido dos filhos de Israel, a quem os egípcios mantêm em escravidão, e me lembrei da minha aliança.
- 6
Portanto, diga aos filhos de Israel: 'Eu sou o SENHOR, e os tirarei de debaixo das cargas dos egípcios, os livrarei da sua escravidão, e os resgatarei com braço estendido e com grandes juízos.
- 7
Eu os tomarei para mim como povo. Eu serei o seu Deus; e vocês saberão que eu sou o SENHOR, o seu Deus, que os tira de debaixo das cargas dos egípcios.
- 8
Eu os levarei para a terra que jurei dar a Abraão, a Isaque e a Jacó; e a darei a vocês como herança: Eu sou o SENHOR.'”

Moisés falou assim aos filhos de Israel, mas eles não deram ouvidos a Moisés, por causa da angústia de espírito e da cruel escravidão.

O SENHOR falou a Moisés, dizendo:
- 11
“Vá e fale com Faraó, rei do Egito, para que deixe os filhos de Israel saírem da sua terra.”
- 12
Moisés falou perante o SENHOR, dizendo: “Eis que os filhos de Israel não me deram ouvidos. Como, então, Faraó me ouvirá, sendo eu de lábios incircuncisos?”
- 13
O SENHOR falou a Moisés e a Arão, e deu-lhes uma ordem para os filhos de Israel e para Faraó, rei do Egito, a fim de tirar os filhos de Israel da terra do Egito.
- 14
Estes são os chefes das casas de seus pais. Os filhos de Rúben, o primogênito de Israel: Enoque, Palu, Hezrom e Carmi; estas são as famílias de Rúben.
- 15
Os filhos de Simeão: Jemuel, Jamim, Oade, Jaquim, Zoar e Saul, filho de uma mulher cananeia; estas são as famílias de Simeão.
- 16
Estes são os nomes dos filhos de Levi, de acordo com as suas gerações: Gérson, Coate e Merari; e os anos da vida de Levi foram cento e trinta e sete anos.

Os filhos de Gérson: Libni e Simei, de acordo com as suas famílias.
- 18
Os filhos de Coate: Anrão, Isar, Hebrom e Uziel; e os anos da vida de Coate foram cento e trinta e três anos.
- 19
Os filhos de Merari: Mali e Musi. Estas são as famílias dos levitas, de acordo com as suas gerações.
- 20
Anrão tomou por mulher a Joquebede, irmã de seu pai; e ela lhe deu à luz Arão e Moisés. Os anos da vida de Anrão foram cento e trinta e sete anos.

Os filhos de Isar: Corá, Nefegue e Zicri.
- 22
Os filhos de Uziel: Misael, Elzafã e Sitri.
- 23
Arão tomou por mulher a Eliseba, filha de Aminadabe, irmã de Naassom; e ela lhe deu à luz Nadabe e Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar.
- 24
Os filhos de Corá: Assir, Elcana e Abiasafe; estas são as famílias dos coraítas.
- 25
Eleazar, filho de Arão, tomou por mulher uma das filhas de Putiel; e ela lhe deu à luz Fineias. Estes são os chefes das casas dos pais dos levitas, de acordo com as suas famílias.

São estes Arão e Moisés a quem o SENHOR disse: “Tirem os filhos de Israel da terra do Egito, segundo os seus exércitos.”
- 27
Foram eles que falaram a Faraó, rei do Egito, para tirar os filhos de Israel do Egito. São estes Moisés e Arão.
- 28
No dia em que o SENHOR falou a Moisés na terra do Egito,
- 29
O SENHOR disse a Moisés: “Eu sou o SENHOR. Diga a Faraó, rei do Egito, tudo o que eu lhe digo.”
- 30
Moisés disse perante o SENHOR: “Eis que sou de lábios incircuncisos; como, então, Faraó me ouvirá?”

The LORD said to Moses, “Now you shall see what I will do to Pharaoh, for by a strong hand he shall let them go, and by a strong hand he shall drive them out of his land.”
- 2
God spoke to Moses, and said to him, “I am the LORD.
- 3
I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty; but by my name the LORD I was not known to them.
- 4
I have also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their travels, in which they lived as aliens.
- 5
Moreover I have heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage, and I have remembered my covenant.
- 6
Therefore tell the children of Israel, ‘I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm, and with great judgments.

I will take you to myself for a people. I will be your God; and you shall know that I am the LORD your God, who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.
- 8
I will bring you into the land which I swore to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it to you for a heritage: I am the LORD.’”

Moses spoke so to the children of Israel, but they didn’t listen to Moses for anguish of spirit, and for cruel bondage.
- 10
The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
- 11
“Go in, speak to Pharaoh king of Egypt, that he let the children of Israel go out of his land.”
- 12
Moses spoke before the LORD, saying, “Behold, the children of Israel haven’t listened to me. How then shall Pharaoh listen to me, when I have uncircumcised lips?”
- 13
The LORD spoke to Moses and to Aaron, and gave them a command to the children of Israel, and to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt.
- 14
These are the heads of their fathers’ houses. The sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel: Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi; these are the families of Reuben.
- 15
The sons of Simeon: Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanite woman; these are the families of Simeon.
- 16
These are the names of the sons of Levi according to their generations: Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari; and the years of the life of Levi were one hundred thirty-seven years.

The sons of Gershon: Libni and Shimei, according to their families.
- 18
The sons of Kohath: Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel; and the years of the life of Kohath were one hundred thirty-three years.
- 19
The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites according to their generations.
- 20
Amram took Jochebed his father’s sister to himself as wife; and she bore him Aaron and Moses. The years of the life of Amram were one hundred thirty-seven years.

The sons of Izhar: Korah, and Nepheg, and Zichri.
- 22
The sons of Uzziel: Mishael, Elzaphan, and Sithri.
- 23
Aaron took Elisheba, the daughter of Amminadab, the sister of Nahshon, as his wife; and she bore him Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.
- 24
The sons of Korah: Assir, Elkanah, and Abiasaph; these are the families of the Korahites.
- 25
Eleazar Aaron’s son took one of the daughters of Putiel as his wife; and she bore him Phinehas. These are the heads of the fathers’ houses of the Levites according to their families.
- 26
These are that Aaron and Moses to whom the LORD said, “Bring out the children of Israel from the land of Egypt according to their armies.”
- 27
These are those who spoke to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring out the children of Israel from Egypt. These are that Moses and Aaron.
- 28
On the day when the LORD spoke to Moses in the land of Egypt,
- 29
The LORD said to Moses, “I am the LORD. Tell Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I tell you.”
- 30
Moses said before the LORD, “Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips, and how shall Pharaoh listen to me?”
