“Conforto, consolo meu povo”, diz seu Deus.

“Fale confortavelmente com Jerusalém, e chame-a para que sua guerra seja cumprida, que sua iniquidade seja perdoada, que ela tenha recebido da mão de Javé o dobro por todos os seus pecados”.

A voz de quem chama, “Prepare o caminho de Yahweh no deserto! Fazer uma rodovia nivelada no deserto para nosso Deus.

Todo vale deve ser exaltado, e todas as montanhas e colinas devem ser baixadas. O desnível deve ser nivelado, e as asperezas colocam uma planície.

A glória de Yahweh deve ser revelada, e toda a carne deve vê-lo junto; pois a boca de Iavé o disse”.

A voz de quem diz: “Grite!” Um disse: “O que eu devo chorar?”. “Toda a carne é como a grama, e toda sua glória é como a flor do campo.

A grama murcha, a flor se desvanece, porque o fôlego de Yahweh sopra sobre ele. Certamente, as pessoas são como a grama.

A grama murcha, a flor se desvanece; mas a palavra de nosso Deus permanece para sempre”.

Você que conta boas notícias a Zion, suba em uma montanha alta. Vocês que dão boas notícias a Jerusalém, levantem sua voz com força! Levantem-no! Não tenha medo! Diga às cidades de Judá: “Eis o seu Deus!”

Eis que o Senhor Yahweh virá como um poderoso, e seu braço irá governar por ele. Eis que sua recompensa está com ele, e sua recompensa perante ele.

Ele alimentará seu rebanho como um pastor. Ele reunirá os cordeiros em seu braço, e carregá-las em seu seio. Ele conduzirá gentilmente aqueles que têm seus filhotes.

Quem mediu as águas no oco de sua mão, e marcou o céu com seu vão, e calculou o pó da terra em uma cesta de medição, e pesou as montanhas em balanças, e as colinas em equilíbrio?

Que dirigiu o Espírito de Yahweh, ou o ensinou como seu conselheiro?

Com quem ele se aconselhou, e quem o instruiu, e o ensinou no caminho da justiça, e lhe ensinou conhecimentos, e lhe mostrou o caminho para a compreensão?

Eis que as nações são como uma gota em um balde, e são considerados como um grão de pó sobre um equilíbrio. Eis que ele levanta as ilhas como uma coisinha muito pequena.

O Líbano não é suficiente para queimar, nem seus animais são suficientes para uma oferta queimada.

Todas as nações são como nada antes dele. Eles são considerados por ele como menos que nada, e vaidade.

A quem, então, você vai gostar de Deus? Ou que semelhança você vai comparar com ele?

Um operário lançou uma imagem, e o ourives a reveste com ouro, e funde correntes de prata para ele.

Aquele que é demasiado empobrecido para tal oferta escolhe uma árvore que não apodreça. Ele procura um artesão hábil para montar uma imagem esculpida para ele que não será movida.

Você ainda não sabia? Você ainda não ouviu falar? Você não foi avisado desde o início? Você não entendeu desde os fundamentos da terra?

É ele quem se senta acima do círculo da terra, e seus habitantes são como gafanhotos; que estica os céus como uma cortina, e as espalha como uma tenda para morar dentro,

que traz os príncipes ao nada, que torna os juízes da terra sem sentido.

Eles são pouco plantados. Elas são semeadas dificilmente. Seu estoque quase não se enraizou no solo. Ele apenas sopra neles, e eles murcham, e o redemoinho os leva como restolho.

“A quem, então, você vai gostar de mim? Quem é meu igual?” diz o Santo.

Levante os olhos para o alto, e ver quem os criou, que traz à tona seu exército pelo número. Ele os chama a todos pelo nome. pela grandeza de seu poder, e porque ele é forte no poder, não falta nenhuma.

Por que você diz, Jacob, e falar, Israel, “Meu caminho está escondido de Javé”, e a justiça que me é devida é desprezada pelo meu Deus”...

Você já não sabia? Você ainda não ouviu falar? O Deus eterno, Yahweh, o Criador dos confins do mundo, não desmaia. Ele não está cansado. Seu entendimento é indecifrável.

Ele dá poder aos fracos. Ele aumenta a força daquele que não tem poder.

Even os jovens desmaiam e ficam cansados, e os jovens caem por completo;
- 31
mas aqueles que esperam por Yahweh renovarão suas forças. Eles se erguem com asas como águias. Eles correrão, e não se cansarão. Eles caminharão, e não desmaiarão.

“Comfort, comfort my people,” says your God.
- 2
“Speak comfortably to Jerusalem, and call out to her that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned, that she has received of the LORD’s hand double for all her sins.”

The voice of one who calls out, “Prepare the way of the LORD in the wilderness! Make a level highway in the desert for our God.
- 4
Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low. The uneven shall be made level, and the rough places a plain.
- 5
The LORD’s glory shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of the LORD has spoken it.”

The voice of one saying, “Cry out!” One said, “What shall I cry?” “All flesh is like grass, and all its glory is like the flower of the field.

The grass withers, the flower fades, because the LORD’s breath blows on it. Surely the people are like grass.
- 8
The grass withers, the flower fades; but the word of our God stands forever.”

You who tell good news to Zion, go up on a high mountain. You who tell good news to Jerusalem, lift up your voice with strength! Lift it up! Don’t be afraid! Say to the cities of Judah, “Behold, your God!”

Behold, the Lord GOD will come as a mighty one, and his arm will rule for him. Behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him.

He will feed his flock like a shepherd. He will gather the lambs in his arm, and carry them in his bosom. He will gently lead those who have their young.
- 12
Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and marked off the sky with his span, and calculated the dust of the earth in a measuring basket, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?

Who has directed the LORD’s Spirit, or has taught him as his counselor?
- 14
Who did he take counsel with, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of justice, and taught him knowledge, and showed him the way of understanding?
- 15
Behold, the nations are like a drop in a bucket, and are regarded as a speck of dust on a balance. Behold, he lifts up the islands like a very little thing.

Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor its animals sufficient for a burnt offering.
- 17
All the nations are like nothing before him. They are regarded by him as less than nothing, and vanity.

To whom then will you liken God? Or what likeness will you compare to him?
- 19
A workman has cast an image, and the goldsmith overlays it with gold, and casts silver chains for it.
- 20
He who is too impoverished for such an offering chooses a tree that will not rot. He seeks a skillful workman to set up a carved image for him that will not be moved.

Haven’t you known? Haven’t you heard? Haven’t you been told from the beginning? Haven’t you understood from the foundations of the earth?

It is he who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in,
- 23
who brings princes to nothing, who makes the judges of the earth meaningless.

They are planted scarcely. They are sown scarcely. Their stock has scarcely taken root in the ground. He merely blows on them, and they wither, and the whirlwind takes them away as stubble.

“To whom then will you liken me? Who is my equal?” says the Holy One.
- 26
Lift up your eyes on high, and see who has created these, who brings out their army by number. He calls them all by name. By the greatness of his might, and because he is strong in power, not one is lacking.

Why do you say, Jacob, and speak, Israel, “My way is hidden from the LORD, and the justice due me is disregarded by my God”?
- 28
Haven’t you known? Haven’t you heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, doesn’t faint. He isn’t weary. His understanding is unsearchable.

He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might.
- 30
Even the youths faint and get weary, and the young men utterly fall;
- 31
but those who wait for the LORD will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.
