O SENHOR falou a Moisés no deserto do Sinai, no primeiro mês do segundo ano depois que saíram da terra do Egito, dizendo:

“Que os filhos de Israel celebrem a Páscoa no seu tempo determinado.
- 3
No décimo quarto dia deste mês, ao entardecer, vocês a celebrarão no seu tempo determinado. Vocês a celebrarão segundo todos os seus estatutos e segundo todas as suas ordenanças.”

Moisés falou aos filhos de Israel para que celebrassem a Páscoa.
- 5
Eles celebraram a Páscoa no primeiro mês, no décimo quarto dia do mês, ao entardecer, no deserto do Sinai. Conforme tudo o que o SENHOR ordenou a Moisés, assim fizeram os filhos de Israel.

Havia alguns homens que estavam impuros por causa do cadáver de um homem, de modo que não puderam celebrar a Páscoa naquele dia; e eles se apresentaram diante de Moisés e Arão naquele mesmo dia.

Aqueles homens lhe disseram: “Nós estamos impuros por causa do cadáver de um homem. Por que seríamos impedidos de apresentar a oferta do SENHOR no seu tempo determinado entre os filhos de Israel?”

Moisés lhes respondeu: “Esperem, para que eu ouça o que o SENHOR ordenará a respeito de vocês.”

O SENHOR falou a Moisés, dizendo:
- 10
“Fale aos filhos de Israel: ‘Se algum homem entre vocês ou nas suas gerações estiver impuro por causa de um cadáver, ou estiver em uma longa viagem, ele ainda assim celebrará a Páscoa ao SENHOR.

No segundo mês, no décimo quarto dia, ao entardecer, eles a celebrarão; eles a comerão com pães sem fermento e ervas amargas.

Não deixarão nada dela até a manhã seguinte, nem quebrarão nenhum de seus ossos. Segundo todo o estatuto da Páscoa eles a celebrarão.
- 13
Mas o homem que estiver puro, e não estiver em viagem, e deixar de celebrar a Páscoa, essa pessoa será eliminada do seu povo. Porque ele não apresentou a oferta do SENHOR no seu tempo determinado, esse homem levará o seu pecado.

“‘Se um estrangeiro viver entre vocês e desejar celebrar a Páscoa ao SENHOR, então ele o fará segundo o estatuto da Páscoa, e segundo a sua ordenança. Vocês terão um único estatuto, tanto para o estrangeiro quanto para o natural da terra.’”

No dia em que o tabernáculo foi erguido, a nuvem cobriu o tabernáculo, a saber, a Tenda do Testemunho. Ao entardecer, ela estava sobre o tabernáculo, com a aparência de fogo, até a manhã.

Assim era continuamente. A nuvem o cobria, e havia a aparência de fogo de noite.

Sempre que a nuvem se erguia de sobre a Tenda, depois disso os filhos de Israel partiam; e no lugar onde a nuvem parava, ali os filhos de Israel acampavam.
- 18
À ordem do SENHOR, os filhos de Israel partiam, e à ordem do SENHOR eles acampavam. Enquanto a nuvem permanecia sobre o tabernáculo, eles permaneciam acampados.

Quando a nuvem se detinha sobre o tabernáculo por muitos dias, então os filhos de Israel guardavam a ordem do SENHOR, e não partiam.
- 20
Às vezes a nuvem ficava poucos dias sobre o tabernáculo; então, segundo a ordem do SENHOR, eles permaneciam acampados, e segundo a ordem do SENHOR eles partiam.
- 21
Às vezes a nuvem ficava desde o entardecer até a manhã; e quando a nuvem se erguia de manhã, eles partiam; fosse de dia ou de noite, quando a nuvem se erguia, eles partiam.

Fosse por dois dias, ou um mês, ou um ano que a nuvem se detinha sobre o tabernáculo, permanecendo sobre ele, os filhos de Israel permaneciam acampados, e não partiam; mas quando ela se erguia, eles partiam.

À ordem do SENHOR eles acampavam, e à ordem do SENHOR eles partiam. Eles guardavam a ordem do SENHOR, conforme a ordem do SENHOR por meio de Moisés.

The LORD spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the first month of the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying,
- 2
“Let the children of Israel keep the Passover in its appointed season.
- 3
On the fourteenth day of this month, at evening, you shall keep it in its appointed season. You shall keep it according to all its statutes and according to all its ordinances.”

Moses told the children of Israel that they should keep the Passover.
- 5
They kept the Passover in the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at evening, in the wilderness of Sinai. According to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so the children of Israel did.

There were certain men who were unclean because of the dead body of a man, so that they could not keep the Passover on that day, and they came before Moses and Aaron on that day.
- 7
Those men said to him, “We are unclean because of the dead body of a man. Why are we kept back, that we may not offer the offering of the LORD in its appointed season among the children of Israel?”
- 8
Moses answered them, “Wait, that I may hear what the LORD will command concerning you.”
- 9
The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
- 10
“Say to the children of Israel, ‘If any man of you or of your generations is unclean by reason of a dead body, or is on a journey far away, he shall still keep the Passover to the LORD.
- 11
In the second month, on the fourteenth day at evening they shall keep it; they shall eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.
- 12
They shall leave none of it until the morning, nor break a bone of it. According to all the statute of the Passover they shall keep it.
- 13
But the man who is clean, and is not on a journey, and fails to keep the Passover, that soul shall be cut off from his people. Because he didn’t offer the offering of the LORD in its appointed season, that man shall bear his sin.

“‘If a foreigner lives among you and desires to keep the Passover to the LORD, then he shall do so according to the statute of the Passover, and according to its ordinance. You shall have one statute, both for the foreigner and for him who is born in the land.’”

On the day that the tabernacle was raised up, the cloud covered the tabernacle, even the Tent of the Testimony. At evening it was over the tabernacle, as it were the appearance of fire, until morning.

So it was continually. The cloud covered it, and the appearance of fire by night.
- 17
Whenever the cloud was taken up from over the Tent, then after that the children of Israel traveled; and in the place where the cloud remained, there the children of Israel encamped.
- 18
At the commandment of the LORD, the children of Israel traveled, and at the commandment of the LORD they encamped. As long as the cloud remained on the tabernacle they remained encamped.
- 19
When the cloud stayed on the tabernacle many days, then the children of Israel kept the LORD’s command, and didn’t travel.
- 20
Sometimes the cloud was a few days on the tabernacle; then according to the commandment of the LORD they remained encamped, and according to the commandment of the LORD they traveled.
- 21
Sometimes the cloud was from evening until morning; and when the cloud was taken up in the morning, they traveled; or by day and by night, when the cloud was taken up, they traveled.

Whether it was two days, or a month, or a year that the cloud stayed on the tabernacle, remaining on it, the children of Israel remained encamped, and didn’t travel; but when it was taken up, they traveled.

At the commandment of the LORD they encamped, and at the commandment of the LORD they traveled. They kept the LORD’s command, at the commandment of the LORD by Moses.
