Abençoa Yahweh, minha alma. Yahweh, meu Deus, você é muito grande. Você está vestida com honra e majestade.

Ele se cobre de luz como com uma peça de vestuário. Ele estica os céus como uma cortina.

Ele coloca as vigas de seus quartos nas águas. Ele faz das nuvens sua carruagem. Ele caminha sobre as asas do vento.

Ele faz ventos de seus mensageiros, e seus servos chamas de fogo.
- 5
Ele lançou os alicerces da terra, que não deve ser movida para sempre.
- 6
Você a cobriu com o fundo como com um manto. As águas ficavam acima das montanhas.

Na sua repreensão eles fugiram. À voz de seu trovão, eles se apressaram.

As montanhas subiram, os vales se afundaram, para o local que lhes havia sido designado.
- 9
Você estabeleceu um limite que eles não podem ultrapassar, que eles não se viram novamente para cobrir a terra.

Ele envia molas para os vales. Eles correm entre as montanhas.

Eles dão de beber a cada animal do campo. Os burros selvagens saciam sua sede.

As aves do céu nidificam por elas. Eles cantam entre os galhos.
- 13
Ele rega as montanhas de seus quartos. A terra é preenchida com o fruto de suas obras.

Ele faz com que a grama cresça para o gado, e plantas para o homem cultivar, que ele possa produzir alimentos a partir da terra:

vinho que faz o coração do homem feliz, óleo para fazer seu rosto brilhar, e pão que fortalece o coração do homem.

As árvores de Yahweh estão bem regadas, os cedros do Líbano, que ele plantou,
- 17
onde as aves fazem seus ninhos. A cegonha faz sua casa nos ciprestes.

As altas montanhas são para os caprinos selvagens. As rochas são um refúgio para os texugos das rochas.
- 19
Ele indicou a lua para as estações do ano. O sol sabe quando se pôr.
- 20
Você faz escuridão, e é noite, em que todos os animais da floresta rondam.
- 21
Os jovens leões rugem depois de suas presas, e buscar seu alimento de Deus.
- 22
O sol nasce, e eles roubam, e deitar-se em suas covas.
- 23
O homem sai para o seu trabalho, ao seu trabalho até a noite.
- 24
Yahweh, quantos são seus trabalhos! Em sabedoria, você os fez todos. A terra está cheia de suas riquezas.

Há o mar, grande e largo, em que são inumeráveis seres vivos, tanto pequenos como grandes animais.

Lá vão os navios, e leviatã, que você formou para tocar lá.
- 27
Todos estes aguardam por você, que você pode dar-lhes seus alimentos na época certa.

Você dá a eles; eles se reúnem. Você abre sua mão; eles estão satisfeitos com o bem.
- 29
Você esconde seu rosto; eles são perturbados. Você lhes tira o fôlego; eles morrem e voltam para o pó.

Você envia seu Espírito e eles são criados. Você renova a face do chão.
- 31
Que a glória de Yahweh perdure para sempre. Que Yahweh se regozije com suas obras.

Ele olha para a terra, e ela treme. Ele toca as montanhas, e elas fumam.
- 33
Vou cantar para Yahweh enquanto viver. Cantarei louvores ao meu Deus enquanto eu tiver qualquer ser.

Que minha meditação seja doce para ele. Eu me regozijarei em Yahweh.
- 35
Que os pecadores sejam consumidos fora da terra. Que os ímpios não sejam mais. Abençoado Yahweh, minha alma. Louvado seja Yah!

Bless the LORD, my soul. The LORD, my God, you are very great. You are clothed with honor and majesty.

He covers himself with light as with a garment. He stretches out the heavens like a curtain.

He lays the beams of his rooms in the waters. He makes the clouds his chariot. He walks on the wings of the wind.

He makes his messengers winds, and his servants flames of fire.
- 5
He laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be moved forever.
- 6
You covered it with the deep as with a cloak. The waters stood above the mountains.
- 7
At your rebuke they fled. At the voice of your thunder they hurried away.
- 8
The mountains rose, the valleys sank down, to the place which you had assigned to them.
- 9
You have set a boundary that they may not pass over, that they don’t turn again to cover the earth.
- 10
He sends springs into the valleys. They run among the mountains.
- 11
They give drink to every animal of the field. The wild donkeys quench their thirst.
- 12
The birds of the sky nest by them. They sing among the branches.
- 13
He waters the mountains from his rooms. The earth is filled with the fruit of your works.
- 14
He causes the grass to grow for the livestock, and plants for man to cultivate, that he may produce food out of the earth:
- 15
wine that makes the heart of man glad, oil to make his face to shine, and bread that strengthens man’s heart.

The LORD’s trees are well watered, the cedars of Lebanon, which he has planted,
- 17
where the birds make their nests. The stork makes its home in the cypress trees.
- 18
The high mountains are for the wild goats. The rocks are a refuge for the rock badgers.
- 19
He appointed the moon for seasons. The sun knows when to set.
- 20
You make darkness, and it is night, in which all the animals of the forest prowl.
- 21
The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their food from God.
- 22
The sun rises, and they steal away, and lie down in their dens.
- 23
Man goes out to his work, to his labor until the evening.
- 24
LORD, how many are your works! In wisdom, you have made them all. The earth is full of your riches.
- 25
There is the sea, great and wide, in which are innumerable living things, both small and large animals.
- 26
There the ships go, and leviathan, whom you formed to play there.
- 27
These all wait for you, that you may give them their food in due season.
- 28
You give to them; they gather. You open your hand; they are satisfied with good.
- 29
You hide your face; they are troubled. You take away their breath; they die and return to the dust.
- 30
You send out your Spirit and they are created. You renew the face of the ground.
- 31
Let the LORD’s glory endure forever. Let the LORD rejoice in his works.
- 32
He looks at the earth, and it trembles. He touches the mountains, and they smoke.
- 33
I will sing to the LORD as long as I live. I will sing praise to my God while I have any being.
- 34
Let my meditation be sweet to him. I will rejoice in the LORD.
- 35
Let sinners be consumed out of the earth. Let the wicked be no more. Bless the LORD, my soul. Praise the LORD!
