The LORD says: “For three transgressions of Moab, yes, for four, I will not turn away its punishment, because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime;
- 2
but I will send a fire on Moab, and it will devour the palaces of Kerioth; and Moab will die with tumult, with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet;
- 3
and I will cut off the judge from among them, and will kill all its princes with him,” says the LORD.

The LORD says: “For three transgressions of Judah, yes, for four, I will not turn away its punishment, because they have rejected the LORD’s law, and have not kept his statutes, and their lies have led them astray, after which their fathers walked;
- 5
but I will send a fire on Judah, and it will devour the palaces of Jerusalem.”

The LORD says: “For three transgressions of Israel, yes, for four, I will not turn away its punishment, because they have sold the righteous for silver, and the needy for a pair of sandals;
- 7
They trample the heads of the poor into the dust of the earth and deny justice to the oppressed. A man and his father use the same maiden, to profane my holy name.

They lay themselves down beside every altar on clothes taken in pledge. In the house of their God they drink the wine of those who have been fined.

Yet I destroyed the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath.

Also I brought you up out of the land of Egypt and led you forty years in the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amorite.
- 11
I raised up some of your sons for prophets, and some of your young men for Nazirites. Isn’t this true, you children of Israel?” says the LORD.
- 12
“But you gave the Nazirites wine to drink, and commanded the prophets, saying, ‘Don’t prophesy!’
- 13
Behold, I will crush you in your place, as a cart crushes that is full of grain.
- 14
Flight will perish from the swift. The strong won’t strengthen his force. The mighty won’t deliver himself.

He who handles the bow won’t stand. He who is swift of foot won’t escape. He who rides the horse won’t deliver himself.
- 16
He who is courageous among the mighty will flee away naked on that day,” says the LORD.

Assim diz o SENHOR: “Por três transgressões de Moabe, sim, por quatro, não revogarei o seu castigo, porque ele queimou os ossos do rei de Edom até virarem cal;
- 2
mas enviarei fogo sobre Moabe, e ele devorará os palácios de Queriote; e Moabe morrerá com tumulto, com gritos de guerra e com o som da trombeta;
- 3
e eliminarei o juiz do meio deles, e matarei todos os seus príncipes com ele”, diz o SENHOR.

Assim diz o SENHOR: “Por três transgressões de Judá, sim, por quatro, não revogarei o seu castigo, porque rejeitaram a lei do SENHOR, e não guardaram os seus estatutos, e as suas mentiras os desviaram, após as quais os seus pais andaram;
- 5
mas enviarei fogo sobre Judá, e ele devorará os palácios de Jerusalém.”

Assim diz o SENHOR: “Por três transgressões de Israel, sim, por quatro, não revogarei o seu castigo, porque venderam o justo por prata, e o necessitado por um par de sandálias;
- 7
Eles pisam a cabeça dos pobres no pó da terra e negam justiça aos oprimidos. Um homem e seu pai possuem a mesma jovem, para profanar o meu santo nome.

Eles se deitam junto a todo altar sobre roupas tomadas como penhor. Na casa do seu Deus eles bebem o vinho dos que foram multados.

Contudo, eu destruí o amorreu diante deles, cuja altura era como a altura dos cedros, e que era forte como os carvalhos; contudo, destruí o seu fruto por cima, e as suas raízes por baixo.
- 10
Também tirei vocês da terra do Egito e os conduzi por quarenta anos no deserto, para possuírem a terra do amorreu.
- 11
Levantei alguns dos seus filhos para profetas, e alguns dos seus jovens para nazireus. Não é isso verdade, filhos de Israel?” diz o SENHOR.

“Mas vocês deram vinho aos nazireus para beberem, e ordenaram aos profetas, dizendo: ‘Não profetizem!’

Eis que, eu os esmagarei no seu lugar, como esmaga uma carroça que está cheia de grãos.
- 14
A fuga perecerá para o veloz. O forte não fortalecerá a sua força. O valente não salvará a si mesmo.
- 15
Aquele que maneja o arco não ficará de pé. Aquele que é ligeiro de pés não escapará. Aquele que monta o cavalo não salvará a si mesmo.
- 16
Aquele que é corajoso entre os valentes fugirá nu naquele dia”, diz o SENHOR.
