Ezekiel 11

Moreover the Spirit lifted me up and brought me to the east gate of the LORD’s house, which looks eastward. Behold, twenty-five men were at the door of the gate; and I saw among them Jaazaniah the son of Azzur, and Pelatiah the son of Benaiah, princes of the people.

He said to me, “Son of man, these are the men who devise iniquity, and who give wicked counsel in this city;
- 3
who say, ‘The time is not near to build houses. This is the cauldron, and we are the meat.’

Therefore prophesy against them. Prophesy, son of man.”

The LORD’s Spirit fell on me, and he said to me, “Speak, ‘The LORD says: “Thus you have said, house of Israel; for I know the things that come into your mind.

You have multiplied your slain in this city, and you have filled its streets with the slain.”
- 7
“‘Therefore the Lord GOD says: “Your slain whom you have laid in the middle of it, they are the meat, and this is the cauldron; but you will be brought out of the middle of it.
- 8
You have feared the sword; and I will bring the sword on you,” says the Lord GOD.

“I will bring you out of the middle of it, and deliver you into the hands of strangers, and will execute judgments among you.
- 10
You will fall by the sword. I will judge you in the border of Israel. Then you will know that I am the LORD.
- 11
This will not be your cauldron, neither will you be the meat in the middle of it. I will judge you in the border of Israel.

You will know that I am the LORD, for you have not walked in my statutes. You have not executed my ordinances, but have done after the ordinances of the nations that are around you.”’”

When I prophesied, Pelatiah the son of Benaiah died. Then I fell down on my face, and cried with a loud voice, and said, “Ah Lord GOD! Will you make a full end of the remnant of Israel?”

The LORD’s word came to me, saying,
- 15
“Son of man, your brothers, even your brothers, the men of your relatives, and all the house of Israel, all of them, are the ones to whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem have said, ‘Go far away from the LORD. This land has been given to us for a possession.’

“Therefore say, ‘The Lord GOD says: “Whereas I have removed them far off among the nations, and whereas I have scattered them among the countries, yet I will be to them a sanctuary for a little while in the countries where they have come.”’

“Therefore say, ‘The Lord GOD says: “I will gather you from the peoples, and assemble you out of the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.”

“‘They will come there, and they will take away all its detestable things and all its abominations from there.
- 19
I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within them. I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh,
- 20
that they may walk in my statutes, and keep my ordinances, and do them. They will be my people, and I will be their God.
- 21
But as for them whose heart walks after the heart of their detestable things and their abominations, I will bring their way on their own heads,’ says the Lord GOD.”

Then the cherubim lifted up their wings, and the wheels were beside them. The glory of the God of Israel was over them above.

The LORD’s glory went up from the middle of the city, and stood on the mountain which is on the east side of the city.

The Spirit lifted me up, and brought me in the vision by the Spirit of God into Chaldea, to the captives. So the vision that I had seen went up from me.

Then I spoke to the captives all the things that the LORD had shown me.

Além disso, o Espírito me levantou e me levou à porta leste da casa do SENHOR, que está voltada para o leste. Eis que vinte e cinco homens estavam à entrada da porta; e vi entre eles Jaazanias, filho de Azur, e Pelatias, filho de Benaia, príncipes do povo.

Ele me disse: “Filho do homem, estes são os homens que maquinam a iniquidade e que dão maus conselhos nesta cidade;

que dizem: 'O tempo de construir casas não está próximo. Este é o caldeirão, e nós somos a carne.'
- 4
Portanto, profetize contra eles. Profetize, filho do homem.”

O Espírito do SENHOR caiu sobre mim, e ele me disse: “Fale: 'Assim diz o SENHOR: “Assim vocês disseram, casa de Israel; pois eu conheço as coisas que vêm à mente de vocês.

Vocês multiplicaram os seus mortos nesta cidade, e encheram as suas ruas de mortos.”
- 7
“'Portanto, assim diz o Senhor DEUS: “Os seus mortos, que vocês deixaram no meio dela, eles são a carne, e este é o caldeirão; mas vocês serão tirados do meio dela.
- 8
Vocês temeram a espada; e eu trarei a espada sobre vocês”, diz o Senhor DEUS.

“Eu os tirarei do meio dela, e os entregarei nas mãos de estrangeiros, e executarei juízos entre vocês.
- 10
Vocês cairão pela espada. Eu os julgarei na fronteira de Israel. Então vocês saberão que eu sou o SENHOR.
- 11
Este não será o seu caldeirão, nem vocês serão a carne no meio dele. Eu os julgarei na fronteira de Israel.
- 12
Vocês saberão que eu sou o SENHOR, pois não andaram nos meus estatutos. Vocês não executaram as minhas ordenanças, mas agiram segundo as ordenanças das nações que estão ao redor de vocês.”'”

Quando eu profetizei, Pelatias, filho de Benaia, morreu. Então caí com o rosto em terra, clamei em alta voz e disse: “Ah, Senhor DEUS! O Senhor dará um fim completo ao remanescente de Israel?”

A palavra do SENHOR veio a mim, dizendo:
- 15
“Filho do homem, seus irmãos, sim, seus irmãos, os homens do seu parentesco, e toda a casa de Israel, todos eles, são aqueles a quem os habitantes de Jerusalém disseram: 'Vão para longe do SENHOR. Esta terra nos foi dada como possessão.'

“Portanto, diga: 'Assim diz o Senhor DEUS: “Embora eu os tenha levado para longe entre as nações, e embora eu os tenha espalhado entre os países, ainda assim serei para eles um santuário por um pouco de tempo nos países para onde foram.”'

“Portanto, diga: 'Assim diz o Senhor DEUS: “Eu os ajuntarei dentre os povos, e os congregarei dos países por onde vocês foram espalhados, e lhes darei a terra de Israel.”

“'Eles virão para lá, e tirarão de lá todas as suas coisas detestáveis e todas as suas abominações.
- 19
Eu lhes darei um só coração, e colocarei um novo espírito dentro deles. Tirarei da sua carne o coração de pedra, e lhes darei um coração de carne,
- 20
para que andem nos meus estatutos, e guardem as minhas ordenanças, e as cumpram. Eles serão o meu povo, e eu serei o seu Deus.
- 21
Mas, quanto àqueles cujo coração anda após o coração de suas coisas detestáveis e de suas abominações, farei recair o caminho deles sobre as suas próprias cabeças', diz o Senhor DEUS.”

Então os querubins levantaram as suas asas, e as rodas estavam ao lado deles. A glória do Deus de Israel estava no alto, sobre eles.

A glória do SENHOR subiu do meio da cidade, e parou sobre o monte que está ao lado leste da cidade.
- 24
O Espírito me levantou, e me levou na visão, pelo Espírito de Deus, à Caldeia, para os cativos. Assim, a visão que eu tinha visto subiu de mim.

Então falei aos cativos todas as coisas que o SENHOR me tinha mostrado.
