“You also, son of man, take a tile, and lay it before yourself, and portray on it a city, even Jerusalem.

Lay siege against it, build forts against it, and cast up a mound against it. Also set camps against it and plant battering rams against it all around.

Take for yourself an iron pan and set it for a wall of iron between you and the city. Then set your face toward it. It will be besieged, and you shall lay siege against it. This shall be a sign to the house of Israel.

“Moreover lie on your left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel on it. According to the number of the days that you shall lie on it, you shall bear their iniquity.

For I have appointed the years of their iniquity to be to you a number of days, even three hundred ninety days. So you shall bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.

“Again, when you have accomplished these, you shall lie on your right side, and shall bear the iniquity of the house of Judah. I have appointed forty days, each day for a year, to you.

You shall set your face toward the siege of Jerusalem, with your arm uncovered; and you shall prophesy against it.

Behold, I put ropes on you, and you shall not turn yourself from one side to the other, until you have accomplished the days of your siege.

“Take for yourself also wheat, barley, beans, lentils, millet, and spelt, and put them in one vessel. Make bread of it. According to the number of the days that you will lie on your side, even three hundred ninety days, you shall eat of it.

Your food which you shall eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels a day. From time to time you shall eat it.

You shall drink water by measure, the sixth part of a hin. From time to time you shall drink.

You shall eat it as barley cakes, and you shall bake it in their sight with dung that comes out of man.”

The LORD said, “Even thus will the children of Israel eat their bread unclean, among the nations where I will drive them.”

Then I said, “Ah Lord GOD! Behold, my soul has not been polluted; for from my youth up even until now I have not eaten of that which dies of itself, or is torn of animals. No abominable meat has come into my mouth!”

Then he said to me, “Behold, I have given you cow’s dung for man’s dung, and you shall prepare your bread on it.”

Moreover he said to me, “Son of man, behold, I will break the staff of bread in Jerusalem. They will eat bread by weight, and with fearfulness. They will drink water by measure, and in dismay;

that they may lack bread and water, be dismayed one with another, and pine away in their iniquity.

Cerque-a, construa fortes contra ela e levante uma rampa de cerco contra ela. Monte também acampamentos contra ela e posicione aríetes contra ela ao redor.

Pegue para você uma panela de ferro e coloque-a como um muro de ferro entre você e a cidade. Então volte o seu rosto para ela. Ela será sitiada, e você a sitiará. Isso será um sinal para a casa de Israel.

“Além disso, deite-se sobre o seu lado esquerdo e coloque a iniquidade da casa de Israel sobre ele. De acordo com o número dos dias em que você se deitar sobre ele, você levará a iniquidade deles.

Pois eu determinei que os anos da iniquidade deles sejam para você um número de dias, a saber, trezentos e noventa dias. Assim você levará a iniquidade da casa de Israel.

“Novamente, quando você tiver cumprido estes dias, você se deitará sobre o seu lado direito e levará a iniquidade da casa de Judá. Eu determinei a você quarenta dias, cada dia por um ano.

Você voltará o seu rosto para o cerco de Jerusalém, com o seu braço descoberto; e você profetizará contra ela.

Eis que coloco cordas sobre você, e você não se virará de um lado para o outro, até que tenha cumprido os dias do seu cerco.

“Pegue também para você trigo, cevada, feijão, lentilhas, painço e espelta, e coloque-os em uma vasilha. Faça pão com isso. De acordo com o número dos dias em que você se deitar sobre o seu lado, ou seja, trezentos e noventa dias, você comerá dele.

A sua comida que você comerá será por peso, vinte siclos por dia. De tempos em tempos você a comerá.

Você beberá água por medida, a sexta parte de um him. De tempos em tempos você beberá.

Você o comerá como bolos de cevada, e você o assará à vista deles com excremento que sai do homem.”

O SENHOR disse: “Assim também os filhos de Israel comerão o seu pão impuro, entre as nações para onde eu os expulsarei.”

Então eu disse: “Ah, Senhor DEUS! Eis que a minha alma não foi contaminada; pois desde a minha juventude até agora não comi daquilo que morre por si mesmo, ou que é despedaçado por animais. Nenhuma carne abominável entrou na minha boca!”

Então ele me disse: “Eis que eu lhe dei esterco de vaca em lugar de excremento de homem, e você preparará o seu pão sobre ele.”

Além disso, ele me disse: “Filho do homem, eis que quebrarei o cajado do pão em Jerusalém. Eles comerão pão por peso, e com temor. Eles beberão água por medida, e em desespero;

para que lhes faltem pão e água, fiquem desesperados uns com os outros, e definhem na sua iniquidade.”
