Isaiah 12
Six verses, and they function as a hinge: the long arc of judgment and the promised root of Jesse resolve into a song the redeemed will sing "in that day." The speaker thanks the LORD whose anger has turned away, and the same verbs Moses used at the sea — strength, song, salvation — return here. Notice the two summons, both opening "In that day you will say." The first is personal trust; the second turns outward, commanding Zion to proclaim God's name among the peoples.

In that day you will say, “I will give thanks to you, the LORD; for though you were angry with me, your anger has turned away and you comfort me.

Behold, God is my salvation. I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the LORD, the LORD, is my strength and song; and he has become my salvation.”

Therefore with joy you will draw water out of the wells of salvation.

In that day you will say, “Give thanks to the LORD! Call on his name! Declare his doings among the peoples! Proclaim that his name is exalted!

Sing to the LORD, for he has done excellent things! Let this be known in all the earth!

Cry aloud and shout, you inhabitant of Zion, for the Holy One of Israel is great among you!”

An echo of the Red Sea
"The LORD is my strength and song; and he has become my salvation" is a near-quotation of Exodus 15, the song after the Egyptians drowned. Isaiah deliberately reaches back to the exodus to frame what comes after rescue.
The middle image — drawing water "out of the wells of salvation" with joy — gives the chapter its texture: not the dry land of judgment, but spring water, sung over by the inhabitant of Zion.
