Psalms 119
The longest psalm: 176 verses built as an acrostic of 22 eight-verse stanzas, one per Hebrew letter (the labels BETH, GIMEL, DALETH and the rest mark each turn). Nearly every verse names God's instruction under a rotating set of synonyms — law, statutes, precepts, commandments, ordinances, word, promise. It is less a sequence than a sustained meditation. Watch how praise, complaint, and petition keep interweaving rather than resolving in order.

Blessed are those who keep his statutes, who seek him with their whole heart.

This is no serene study. The speaker is mocked by the arrogant (v.51), slandered by princes (v.23), snared by the wicked (v.110), and afflicted — yet calls the affliction good for learning (v.71). The famous "lamp to my feet" (v.105) sits among these threats, not above them.
