Salmos 145
Un himno acróstico (cada versículo comienza con una letra hebrea sucesiva) y el último salmo del libro encabezado "de David". Su tema es la realeza de Dios, alabada de generación en generación y no en una sola crisis. El centro cita el credo más antiguo de Israel: Jehová es "clemente y misericordioso, lento para la ira" (v.8). Desde ahí se ensancha: su bondad alcanza todas sus obras (v.9) y sacia a todo viviente (v.16).

Salmo de alabanza: de David. ENSALZARTE he, mi Dios, mi Rey; y bendeciré tu nombre por siglo y para siempre.

Cada día te bendeciré, y alabaré tu nombre por siglo y para siempre.

Grande es Jehová y digno de suprema alabanza: y su grandeza es inescrutable.

Generación á generación narrará tus obras, y anunciarán tus valentías.

Para notificar á los hijos de los hombres sus valentías, y la gloria de la magnificencia de su reino.

Tu reino es reino de todos los siglos, y tu señorío en toda generación y generación.

Sostiene Jehová á todos los que caen, y levanta á todos los oprimidos.

Los ojos de todos esperan en ti, y tú les das su comida en su tiempo.

Abres tu mano, y colmas de bendición á todo viviente.

Justo es Jehová en todos sus caminos, y misericordioso en todas sus obras.

Cercano está Jehová á todos los que le invocan, á todos los que le invocan de veras.

Cumplirá el deseo de los que le temen; oirá asimismo el clamor de ellos, y los salvará.

Jehová guarda á todos los que le aman; empero destruirá á todos los impíos.

La alabanza de Jehová hablará mi boca; y bendiga toda carne su santo nombre por siglo y para siempre.

All your works will give thanks to you, LORD. Your saints will extol you.

They will speak of the glory of your kingdom, and talk about your power,

to make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, the glory of the majesty of his kingdom.

Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. Your dominion endures throughout all generations. The LORD is faithful in all his words, and loving in all his deeds.

The LORD upholds all who fall, and raises up all those who are bowed down.

The eyes of all wait for you. You give them their food in due season.

You open your hand, and satisfy the desire of every living thing.
- 17
The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and gracious in all his works.

The LORD is near to all those who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
- 19
He will fulfill the desire of those who fear him. He also will hear their cry, and will save them.
- 20
The LORD preserves all those who love him, but he will destroy all the wicked.
- 21
My mouth will speak the praise of the LORD. Let all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever.
Un reino que se inclina
El reino eterno del v.13 no es majestad distante. Las líneas siguientes muestran qué hace este Rey: sostiene a los que caen, levanta a los abatidos (v.14) y da el alimento a su tiempo (v.15).
Grandeza y ternura no se oponen. Él está "cercano á todos los que le invocan" (v.18); por eso el salmo convoca a toda carne a bendecirle (v.21).
