Vi, na mão direita daquele que estava sentado no trono, um livro escrito por dentro e por fora, fechado com sete selos.

Vi um anjo poderoso proclamando com voz alta: “Quem é digno de abrir o livro e quebrar seus selos?
- 3
Ninguém no céu acima, ou na terra, ou debaixo da terra, foi capaz de abrir o livro ou de olhar nele.
- 4
Então eu chorei muito, porque ninguém foi considerado digno de abrir o livro ou de olhar nele.
- 5
Um dos anciãos me disse: “Não chore. Eis que o Leão que é da tribo de Judá, a Raiz de Davi, superou: aquele que abre o livro e seus sete selos”.

Vi no meio do trono e dos quatro seres vivos, e no meio dos anciãos, um Cordeiro em pé, como se tivesse sido morto, com sete chifres e sete olhos, que são os sete Espíritos de Deus, enviados a toda a terra.

Então ele veio, e o tirou da mão direita daquele que estava sentado no trono.

Agora, quando ele tomou o livro, os quatro seres vivos e os vinte e quatro anciãos caíram diante do Cordeiro, cada um com uma harpa, e taças douradas cheias de incenso, que são as orações dos santos.

Eles cantaram uma nova canção, dizendo, “Você é digno de levar o livro e para abrir seus selos, por você ter sido morto, e nos comprou para Deus com seu sangue de cada tribo, língua, povo e nação,
- 10
e nos fez reis e sacerdotes para nosso Deus; e reinaremos sobre a terra”.

Eu olhei, e ouvi algo como uma voz de muitos anjos ao redor do trono, dos seres vivos, e dos anciãos. O número deles era de dez mil, e milhares de milhares,
- 12
dizendo em voz alta: “Digno é o Cordeiro que foi morto para receber o poder, riqueza, sabedoria, força, honra, glória e bênção”!

Ouvi cada coisa criada que está no céu, na terra, debaixo da terra, no mar, e tudo neles, dizendo: “Àquele que se senta no trono e ao Cordeiro seja a bênção, a honra, a glória e o domínio, para todo o sempre! Amém!”

Os quatro seres vivos disseram: “Amém!” Então os anciãos se prostraram e adoraram.

I saw, in the right hand of him who sat on the throne, a book written inside and outside, sealed shut with seven seals.

I saw a mighty angel proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the book, and to break its seals?”

No one in heaven above, or on the earth, or under the earth, was able to open the book or to look in it.
- 4
Then I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open the book or to look in it.
- 5
One of the elders said to me, “Don’t weep. Behold, the Lion who is of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome: he who opens the book and its seven seals.”

I saw in the middle of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the middle of the elders, a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, sent out into all the earth.

Then he came, and he took it out of the right hand of him who sat on the throne.
- 8
Now when he had taken the book, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each one having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.

They sang a new song, saying, “You are worthy to take the book and to open its seals, for you were killed, and bought us for God with your blood out of every tribe, language, people, and nation,
- 10
and made us kings and priests to our God; and we will reign on the earth.”
- 11
I looked, and I heard something like a voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders. The number of them was ten thousands of ten thousands, and thousands of thousands,

saying with a loud voice, “Worthy is the Lamb who has been killed to receive the power, wealth, wisdom, strength, honor, glory, and blessing!”

I heard every created thing which is in heaven, on the earth, under the earth, on the sea, and everything in them, saying, “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be the blessing, the honor, the glory, and the dominion, forever and ever! Amen!”
- 14
The four living creatures said, “Amen!” Then the elders fell down and worshiped.
