Desperte, desperte! Vista-se da sua força, Sião. Vista as suas roupas formosas, Jerusalém, cidade santa, pois de agora em diante o incircunciso e o impuro não entrarão mais em você.

Sacuda de si o pó! Levante-se, assente-se, Jerusalém! Solte-se das correntes do seu pescoço, filha cativa de Sião!

Pois assim diz o SENHOR: “Vocês foram vendidos por nada; e sem dinheiro vocês serão resgatados.”

Pois assim diz o Senhor DEUS: “Meu povo desceu no princípio ao Egito para ali habitar; e o assírio os oprimiu sem motivo.
- 5
“Agora, portanto, o que eu faço aqui”, diz o SENHOR, “visto que o meu povo foi levado por nada? Aqueles que dominam sobre eles zombam”, diz o SENHOR, “e o meu nome é blasfemado continuamente o dia todo.
- 6
Portanto, o meu povo conhecerá o meu nome. Portanto, naquele dia saberão que sou eu quem fala. Eis que sou eu.”

Quão formosos sobre os montes são os pés daquele que traz boas-novas, que proclama a paz, que traz boas notícias, que proclama a salvação, que diz a Sião: “O seu Deus reina!”

Os seus sentinelas erguem a voz. Juntos eles cantam; pois verão olho a olho quando o SENHOR retornar a Sião.

Irrompam em alegria! Cantem juntas, ruínas de Jerusalém; pois o SENHOR consolou o seu povo. Ele resgatou Jerusalém.

O SENHOR desnudou o seu santo braço aos olhos de todas as nações. Todos os confins da terra viram a salvação do nosso Deus.

Partam! Partam! Saiam daí! Não toquem em nada impuro! Saiam do meio dela! Purifiquem-se, vocês que carregam os utensílios do SENHOR.

Pois vocês não sairão apressadamente, nem sairão em fuga; pois o SENHOR irá adiante de vocês, e o Deus de Israel será a sua retaguarda.

Eis que o meu servo agirá com sabedoria. Ele será exaltado e levantado, e será muito elevado.
- 14
Assim como muitos ficaram pasmos diante de você — sua aparência estava desfigurada mais do que a de qualquer homem, e a sua forma mais do que a dos filhos dos homens —
- 15
assim ele purificará muitas nações. Reis fecharão a boca por causa dele; pois verão aquilo que não lhes havia sido contado, e entenderão aquilo que não tinham ouvido.

Awake, awake! Put on your strength, Zion. Put on your beautiful garments, Jerusalem, the holy city, for from now on the uncircumcised and the unclean will no more come into you.

Shake yourself from the dust! Arise, sit up, Jerusalem! Release yourself from the bonds of your neck, captive daughter of Zion!

For the LORD says, “You were sold for nothing; and you will be redeemed without money.”

For the Lord GOD says: “My people went down at the first into Egypt to live there; and the Assyrian has oppressed them without cause.

“Now therefore, what do I do here,” says the LORD, “seeing that my people are taken away for nothing? Those who rule over them mock,” says the LORD, “and my name is blasphemed continually all day long.

Therefore my people shall know my name. Therefore they shall know in that day that I am he who speaks. Behold, it is I.”

How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news, who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”

Your watchmen lift up their voice. Together they sing; for they shall see eye to eye when the LORD returns to Zion.
- 9
Break out into joy! Sing together, you waste places of Jerusalem; for the LORD has comforted his people. He has redeemed Jerusalem.
- 10
The LORD has made his holy arm bare in the eyes of all the nations. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
- 11
Depart! Depart! Go out from there! Touch no unclean thing! Go out from among her! Cleanse yourselves, you who carry the LORD’s vessels.

For you shall not go out in haste, neither shall you go by flight; for the LORD will go before you, and the God of Israel will be your rear guard.
- 13
Behold, my servant will deal wisely. He will be exalted and lifted up, and will be very high.
- 14
Just as many were astonished at you— his appearance was marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men—
- 15
so he will cleanse many nations. Kings will shut their mouths at him; for they will see that which had not been told them, and they will understand that which they had not heard.
