Além disso, a palavra do SENHOR veio a mim, dizendo:

“Você, filho do homem, assim diz o Senhor DEUS à terra de Israel: ‘Um fim! O fim chegou sobre os quatro cantos da terra.
- 3
Agora o fim está sobre você, e enviarei a minha ira sobre você, e a julgarei segundo os seus caminhos. Trarei sobre você todas as suas abominações.
- 4
Meu olho não poupará você, nem terei piedade; mas trarei os seus caminhos sobre você, e as suas abominações estarão no meio de você. Então vocês saberão que eu sou o SENHOR.’

“Assim diz o Senhor DEUS: ‘Um desastre! Um desastre único! Eis que ele vem.
- 6
Um fim chegou. O fim chegou! Ele desperta contra você. Eis que ele vem.
- 7
A sua ruína chegou até você, habitante da terra! O tempo chegou! O dia está próximo, um dia de tumulto, e não de gritos de alegria, sobre os montes.
- 8
Agora, em breve, derramarei o meu furor sobre você, e cumprirei a minha ira contra você, e a julgarei segundo os seus caminhos. Trarei sobre você todas as suas abominações.

Meu olho não poupará, nem terei piedade. Eu punirei você segundo os seus caminhos. Suas abominações estarão no meio de você. Então vocês saberão que eu, o SENHOR, sou o que fere.

“‘Eis o dia! Eis que ele vem! A sua ruína saiu. A vara floresceu. A soberba brotou.
- 11
A violência se levantou em uma vara de impiedade. Nenhum deles restará, nem da sua multidão, nem da sua riqueza. Não haverá nada de valor entre eles.

O tempo chegou! O dia se aproxima. Que o comprador não se alegre, nem o vendedor lamente; pois a ira está sobre toda a sua multidão.
- 13
Pois o vendedor não retornará àquilo que foi vendido, ainda que continuem vivos; pois a visão diz respeito a toda a sua multidão. Ninguém retornará. Ninguém se fortalecerá na iniquidade da sua vida.

Eles tocaram a trombeta, e prepararam tudo; mas ninguém vai à batalha, pois a minha ira está sobre toda a sua multidão.

“‘A espada está do lado de fora, e a peste e a fome do lado de dentro. Aquele que está no campo morrerá pela espada. Aquele que está na cidade será devorado pela fome e pela peste.
- 16
Mas os que escaparem, escaparão e estarão nos montes como pombas dos vales, todos eles gemendo, cada um na sua iniquidade.

Todas as mãos ficarão fracas, e todos os joelhos se tornarão fracos como água.
- 18
Eles também se vestirão de pano de saco, e o pavor os cobrirá. A vergonha estará em todos os rostos, e a calvície em todas as suas cabeças.

Eles lançarão a sua prata nas ruas, e o seu ouro será como uma coisa impura. A sua prata e o seu ouro não poderão livrá-los no dia da ira do SENHOR. Eles não satisfarão as suas almas nem encherão os seus ventres; porque isso tem sido a pedra de tropeço da sua iniquidade.

Quanto à beleza do seu ornamento, ele o estabeleceu em majestade; mas eles fizeram nele as imagens das suas abominações e das suas coisas detestáveis. Portanto, eu o tornei para eles como uma coisa impura.

Eu o entregarei nas mãos dos estrangeiros como presa, e aos ímpios da terra como despojo; e eles o profanarão.
- 22
Eu também desviarei deles o meu rosto, e eles profanarão o meu lugar secreto. Ladrões entrarão nele, e o profanarão.
- 23
“‘Faça correntes, pois a terra está cheia de crimes de sangue, e a cidade está cheia de violência.
- 24
Portanto, trarei as piores das nações, e eles possuirão as suas casas. Eu também farei cessar o orgulho dos fortes. Os seus lugares santos serão profanados.
- 25
A destruição vem! Eles buscarão a paz, e não haverá nenhuma.
- 26
Desgraça virá sobre desgraça, e rumor sobre rumor. Eles buscarão uma visão do profeta; mas a lei perecerá do sacerdote, e o conselho dos anciãos.
- 27
O rei lamentará, e o príncipe se vestirá de desolação. As mãos do povo da terra ficarão perturbadas. Eu farei com eles segundo o seu caminho, e de acordo com os seus próprios julgamentos eu os julgarei. Então eles saberão que eu sou o SENHOR.’”

Moreover the LORD’s word came to me, saying,
- 2
“You, son of man, the Lord GOD says to the land of Israel, ‘An end! The end has come on the four corners of the land.
- 3
Now the end is on you, and I will send my anger on you, and will judge you according to your ways. I will bring on you all your abominations.
- 4
My eye will not spare you, neither will I have pity; but I will bring your ways on you, and your abominations will be among you. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’

“The Lord GOD says: ‘A disaster! A unique disaster! Behold, it comes.
- 6
An end has come. The end has come! It awakes against you. Behold, it comes.
- 7
Your doom has come to you, inhabitant of the land! The time has come! The day is near, a day of tumult, and not of joyful shouting, on the mountains.
- 8
Now I will shortly pour out my wrath on you, and accomplish my anger against you, and will judge you according to your ways. I will bring on you all your abominations.
- 9
My eye won’t spare, neither will I have pity. I will punish you according to your ways. Your abominations will be among you. Then you will know that I, the LORD, strike.
- 10
“‘Behold, the day! Behold, it comes! Your doom has gone out. The rod has blossomed. Pride has budded.
- 11
Violence has risen up into a rod of wickedness. None of them will remain, nor of their multitude, nor of their wealth. There will be nothing of value among them.
- 12
The time has come! The day draws near. Don’t let the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn; for wrath is on all its multitude.
- 13
For the seller won’t return to that which is sold, although they are still alive; for the vision concerns the whole multitude of it. None will return. None will strengthen himself in the iniquity of his life.
- 14
They have blown the trumpet, and have made all ready; but no one goes to the battle, for my wrath is on all its multitude.
- 15
“‘The sword is outside, and the pestilence and the famine within. He who is in the field will die by the sword. He who is in the city will be devoured by famine and pestilence.
- 16
But of those who escape, they will escape and will be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them moaning, everyone in his iniquity.
- 17
All hands will be feeble, and all knees will be weak as water.
- 18
They will also clothe themselves with sackcloth, and horror will cover them. Shame will be on all faces, and baldness on all their heads.
- 19
They will cast their silver in the streets, and their gold will be as an unclean thing. Their silver and their gold won’t be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD’s wrath. They won’t satisfy their souls or fill their bellies; because it has been the stumbling block of their iniquity.

As for the beauty of his ornament, he set it in majesty; but they made the images of their abominations and their detestable things therein. Therefore I have made it to them as an unclean thing.
- 21
I will give it into the hands of the strangers for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a plunder; and they will profane it.
- 22
I will also turn my face from them, and they will profane my secret place. Robbers will enter into it, and profane it.
- 23
“‘Make chains, for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of violence.
- 24
Therefore I will bring the worst of the nations, and they will possess their houses. I will also make the pride of the strong to cease. Their holy places will be profaned.
- 25
Destruction comes! They will seek peace, and there will be none.
- 26
Mischief will come on mischief, and rumor will be on rumor. They will seek a vision of the prophet; but the law will perish from the priest, and counsel from the elders.
- 27
The king will mourn, and the prince will be clothed with desolation. The hands of the people of the land will be troubled. I will do to them after their way, and according to their own judgments I will judge them. Then they will know that I am the LORD.’”
