Estas são as jornadas dos filhos de Israel, quando saíram da terra do Egito, segundo os seus exércitos, sob a liderança de Moisés e Arão.

Moisés escreveu os pontos de partida de suas jornadas por ordem do SENHOR. Estas são as suas jornadas de acordo com os seus pontos de partida.

Eles partiram de Ramessés no primeiro mês, no décimo quinto dia do primeiro mês; no dia seguinte à Páscoa, os filhos de Israel saíram com mão alta à vista de todos os egípcios,

enquanto os egípcios enterravam todos os seus primogênitos, a quem o SENHOR havia ferido entre eles. O SENHOR também executou juízos sobre os seus deuses.

Os filhos de Israel partiram de Ramessés e acamparam em Sucote.

Partiram de Sucote e acamparam em Etã, que fica no limite do deserto.

Partiram de Etã e voltaram para Pi-Hairote, que fica em frente a Baal-Zefom, e acamparam diante de Migdol.

Partiram de diante de Hairote e atravessaram pelo meio do mar em direção ao deserto. Caminharam a jornada de três dias no deserto de Etã e acamparam em Mara.

Partiram de Mara e chegaram a Elim. Em Elim havia doze fontes de água e setenta palmeiras, e acamparam ali.

Arão, o sacerdote, subiu ao monte Hor por ordem do SENHOR e morreu ali, no quadragésimo ano após os filhos de Israel terem saído da terra do Egito, no quinto mês, no primeiro dia do mês.

Arão tinha cento e vinte e três anos de idade quando morreu no monte Hor.

O rei cananeu de Arade, que habitava no Sul, na terra de Canaã, ouviu falar da vinda dos filhos de Israel.

Partiram do monte Hor e acamparam em Salmona.
- 42
Partiram de Salmona e acamparam em Punom.
- 43
Partiram de Punom e acamparam em Obote.
- 44
Partiram de Obote e acamparam em Ije-Abarim, na fronteira de Moabe.

Partiram de Ijim e acamparam em Dibom-Gade.

Partiram de Dibom-Gade e acamparam em Almom-Diblataim.
- 47
Partiram de Almom-Diblataim e acamparam nas montanhas de Abarim, diante de Nebo.

Partiram das montanhas de Abarim e acamparam nas campinas de Moabe, junto ao Jordão, na altura de Jericó.

Acamparam junto ao Jordão, desde Bete-Jesimote até Abel-Sitim, nas campinas de Moabe.

O SENHOR falou a Moisés nas campinas de Moabe, junto ao Jordão, na altura de Jericó, dizendo:
- 51
Fale aos filhos de Israel e diga-lhes: “Quando vocês atravessarem o Jordão para a terra de Canaã,
- 52
então vocês expulsarão todos os habitantes da terra de diante de vocês, destruirão todos os seus ídolos de pedra, destruirão todas as suas imagens fundidas e demolirão todos os seus altos.
- 53
Vocês tomarão posse da terra e habitarão nela; pois eu dei a terra a vocês para a possuírem.
- 54
Vocês herdarão a terra por sorteio, segundo as suas famílias; aos grupos maiores vocês darão uma herança maior, e aos menores vocês darão uma herança menor. Onde a sorte cair para qualquer homem, ali será a sua propriedade. Vocês herdarão segundo as tribos de seus pais.

“Mas, se vocês não expulsarem os habitantes da terra de diante de vocês, então aqueles que vocês deixarem ficar serão como farpas em seus olhos e espinhos em seus lados. Eles afligirão vocês na terra em que vocês habitarem.

E acontecerá que, assim como eu pensei em fazer a eles, farei a vocês.”

These are the journeys of the children of Israel, when they went out of the land of Egypt by their armies under the hand of Moses and Aaron.

Moses wrote the starting points of their journeys by the commandment of the LORD. These are their journeys according to their starting points.

They traveled from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the next day after the Passover, the children of Israel went out with a high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians,

while the Egyptians were burying all their firstborn, whom the LORD had struck among them. The LORD also executed judgments on their gods.

The children of Israel traveled from Rameses, and encamped in Succoth.
- 6
They traveled from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, which is in the edge of the wilderness.

They traveled from Etham, and turned back to Pihahiroth, which is before Baal Zephon, and they encamped before Migdol.

They traveled from before Hahiroth, and crossed through the middle of the sea into the wilderness. They went three days’ journey in the wilderness of Etham, and encamped in Marah.

They traveled from Marah, and came to Elim. In Elim, there were twelve springs of water and seventy palm trees, and they encamped there.

They traveled from Elim, and encamped by the Red Sea.

They traveled from the Red Sea, and encamped in the wilderness of Sin.

They traveled from Alush, and encamped in Rephidim, where there was no water for the people to drink.

Aaron the priest went up into Mount Hor at the commandment of the LORD and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first day of the month.

Aaron was one hundred twenty-three years old when he died in Mount Hor.
- 40
The Canaanite king of Arad, who lived in the South in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the children of Israel.

They traveled from Mount Hor, and encamped in Zalmonah.

They traveled from Zalmonah, and encamped in Punon.

They traveled from Punon, and encamped in Oboth.

They traveled from Oboth, and encamped in Iye Abarim, in the border of Moab.

They traveled from Iyim, and encamped in Dibon Gad.

They traveled from Dibon Gad, and encamped in Almon Diblathaim.

They traveled from Almon Diblathaim, and encamped in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.

They traveled from the mountains of Abarim, and encamped in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho.

They encamped by the Jordan, from Beth Jeshimoth even to Abel Shittim in the plains of Moab.

The LORD spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, saying,
- 51
Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, “When you pass over the Jordan into the land of Canaan,
- 52
then you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, destroy all their stone idols, destroy all their molten images, and demolish all their high places.
- 53
You shall take possession of the land, and dwell therein; for I have given the land to you to possess it.
- 54
You shall inherit the land by lot according to your families; to the larger groups you shall give a larger inheritance, and to the smaller you shall give a smaller inheritance. Wherever the lot falls to any man, that shall be his. You shall inherit according to the tribes of your fathers.

“But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then those you let remain of them will be like pricks in your eyes and thorns in your sides. They will harass you in the land in which you dwell.
- 56
It shall happen that as I thought to do to them, so I will do to you.”
