“Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the LORD’s glory has risen on you!

For behold, darkness will cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples; but the LORD will arise on you, and his glory shall be seen on you.

Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.
- 4
“Lift up your eyes all around, and see: they all gather themselves together. They come to you. Your sons will come from far away, and your daughters will be carried in arms.
- 5
Then you shall see and be radiant, and your heart will thrill and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea will be turned to you. The wealth of the nations will come to you.
- 6
A multitude of camels will cover you, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah. All from Sheba will come. They will bring gold and frankincense, and will proclaim the praises of the LORD.

All the flocks of Kedar will be gathered together to you. The rams of Nebaioth will serve you. They will be accepted as offerings on my altar; and I will beautify my glorious house.

“Who are these who fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?
- 9
Surely the islands will wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring your sons from far away, their silver and their gold with them, for the name of the LORD your God, and for the Holy One of Israel, because he has glorified you.

“Foreigners will build up your walls, and their kings will serve you; for in my wrath I struck you, but in my favor I have had mercy on you.
- 11
Your gates also shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night, that men may bring to you the wealth of the nations, and their kings led captive.

For that nation and kingdom that will not serve you shall perish; yes, those nations shall be utterly wasted.

“The glory of Lebanon shall come to you, the cypress tree, the pine, and the box tree together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious.
- 14
The sons of those who afflicted you will come bowing to you; and all those who despised you will bow themselves down at the soles of your feet. They will call you the LORD’s City, the Zion of the Holy One of Israel.

“Whereas you have been forsaken and hated, so that no one passed through you, I will make you an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.
- 16
You will also drink the milk of the nations, and will nurse from royal breasts. Then you will know that I, the LORD, am your Savior, your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.
- 17
For bronze I will bring gold; for iron I will bring silver; for wood, bronze, and for stones, iron. I will also make peace your governor, and righteousness your ruler.
- 18
Violence shall no more be heard in your land, nor desolation or destruction within your borders; but you will call your walls Salvation, and your gates Praise.
- 19
The sun will be no more your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon give light to you, but the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory.
- 20
Your sun will not go down any more, nor will your moon withdraw itself; for the LORD will be your everlasting light, and the days of your mourning will end.
- 21
Then your people will all be righteous. They will inherit the land forever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.

The little one will become a thousand, and the small one a strong nation. I, the LORD, will do this quickly in its time.”

“Levante-se, resplandeça; porque a sua luz chegou, e a glória do SENHOR raiou sobre você!

Pois eis que as trevas cobrirão a terra, e a escuridão profunda os povos; mas o SENHOR raiará sobre você, e a sua glória será vista sobre você.

As nações virão à sua luz, e os reis ao resplendor do seu amanhecer.

“Levante os seus olhos ao redor, e veja: todos eles se reúnem. Eles vêm a você. Seus filhos virão de longe, e suas filhas serão carregadas nos braços.
- 5
Então você verá e ficará radiante, e o seu coração estremecerá e se dilatará; porque a abundância do mar se voltará para você. As riquezas das nações virão a você.

Uma multidão de camelos cobrirá você, os dromedários de Midiã e Efa. Todos os de Sabá virão. Eles trarão ouro e incenso, e proclamarão os louvores do SENHOR.

Todos os rebanhos de Quedar se reunirão a você. Os carneiros de Nebaiote a servirão. Eles serão aceitos como ofertas no meu altar; e eu embelezarei a minha casa gloriosa.

“Quem são estes que voam como uma nuvem, e como as pombas para as suas janelas?
- 9
Certamente as ilhas esperarão por mim, e os navios de Társis primeiro, para trazer os seus filhos de longe, com a prata e o ouro deles com eles, para o nome do SENHOR, o seu Deus, e para o Santo de Israel, porque ele a glorificou.

“Estrangeiros edificarão as suas muralhas, e os reis deles servirão a você; pois na minha ira eu feri você, mas no meu favor eu tive misericórdia de você.
- 11
As suas portas também estarão abertas continuamente; elas não serão fechadas nem de dia nem de noite, para que os homens possam trazer a você as riquezas das nações, com os seus reis trazidos como cativos.

Pois a nação e o reino que não servirem a você perecerão; sim, essas nações serão totalmente devastadas.
- 13
“A glória do Líbano virá a você, o cipreste, o pinheiro e o buxo juntos, para embelezar o lugar do meu santuário; e eu farei glorioso o lugar dos meus pés.
- 14
Os filhos daqueles que afligiram você virão se curvando a você; e todos aqueles que desprezaram você se prostrarão às solas dos seus pés. Eles chamarão você de Cidade do SENHOR, a Sião do Santo de Israel.
- 15
“Embora você tenha sido abandonada e odiada, de modo que ninguém passava por você, eu farei de você uma excelência eterna, uma alegria de muitas gerações.
- 16
Você também beberá o leite das nações, e mamará em seios reais. Então você saberá que eu, o SENHOR, sou o seu Salvador, o seu Redentor, o Poderoso de Jacó.
- 17
Em lugar de bronze eu trarei ouro; em lugar de ferro eu trarei prata; em lugar de madeira, bronze, e em lugar de pedras, ferro. Eu também farei da paz o seu governador, e da justiça o seu governante.
- 18
Não se ouvirá mais falar de violência na sua terra, nem de desolação ou destruição dentro das suas fronteiras; mas você chamará as suas muralhas de Salvação, e as suas portas de Louvor.
- 19
O sol não será mais a sua luz de dia, nem o resplendor da lua dará luz a você, mas o SENHOR será a sua luz eterna, e o seu Deus será a sua glória.
- 20
O seu sol não se porá mais, nem a sua lua se retirará; pois o SENHOR será a sua luz eterna, e os dias do seu luto chegarão ao fim.
- 21
Então todo o seu povo será justo. Eles herdarão a terra para sempre, o ramo do meu plantio, a obra das minhas mãos, para que eu seja glorificado.
- 22
O menor se tornará mil, e o mais fraco, uma nação forte. Eu, o SENHOR, farei isso rapidamente a seu tempo.”
