Help, LORD; for the godly man ceases. For the faithful fail from among the children of men.

Everyone lies to his neighbor. They speak with flattering lips, and with a double heart.

May the LORD cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that boasts,
- 4
who have said, “With our tongue we will prevail. Our lips are our own. Who is lord over us?”

“Because of the oppression of the weak and because of the groaning of the needy, I will now arise,” says the LORD; “I will set him in safety from those who malign him.”

The LORD’s words are flawless words, as silver refined in a clay furnace, purified seven times.

You will keep them, LORD. You will preserve them from this generation forever.

The wicked walk on every side, when what is vile is exalted among the sons of men.

Help, Yahweh; pois o homem piedoso cessa. Pois os fiéis falham entre os filhos dos homens.

Todos mentem ao seu próximo. Eles falam com lábios lisonjeiros, e com um coração duplo.

Que Yahweh corte todos os lábios lisonjeiros, e a língua que se vangloria,

que disseram: “Com nossa língua prevaleceremos”. Nossos lábios são os nossos próprios. Quem é o senhor sobre nós”?

“Por causa da opressão dos fracos e por causa do gemido dos necessitados, Agora eu me levantarei”, diz Yahweh; “Vou colocá-lo em segurança contra aqueles que o malignizam”.

As palavras de Yahweh são palavras impecáveis, como prata refinada em um forno de barro, purificada sete vezes.

Você vai mantê-los, Yahweh. Você os preservará desta geração para sempre.

Os malvados caminham de todos os lados, quando o que é vil é exaltado entre os filhos dos homens.
