Liturgia de acción de gracias con varias voces: un guía convoca e Israel, la casa de Aarón y los que temen a Jehová repiten que "para siempre es su misericordia" (vv.1-4). El centro narra un rescate al borde de la muerte: cercado "como abejas", empujado para caer, pero no entregado a morir. Observe el avance hacia una puerta concreta: el cantor pide que le abran las puertas de la justicia (v.19) y entra a dar gracias. La piedra desechada (v.22) está en el gozne.

ALABAD á Jehová, porque es bueno; porque para siempre es su misericordia.

La piedra que desecharon los edificadores, ha venido á ser cabeza del ángulo.

De parte de Jehová es esto: es maravilla en nuestros ojos.

Este es el día que hizo Jehová: nos gozaremos y alegraremos en él.

Oh Jehová, salva ahora, te ruego: oh Jehová, ruégote hagas prosperar ahora.

Bendito el que viene en nombre de Jehová: desde la casa de Jehová os bendecimos.

Dios es Jehová que nos ha resplandecido: atad víctimas con cuerdas á los cuernos del altar.

The LORD is my strength and song. He has become my salvation.

The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tents of the righteous. “The right hand of the LORD does valiantly.

The right hand of the LORD is exalted! The right hand of the LORD does valiantly!”

I will not die, but live, and declare the LORD’s works.

The LORD has punished me severely, but he has not given me over to death.

Open to me the gates of righteousness. I will enter into them. I will give thanks to the LORD.

This is the gate of the LORD; the righteous will enter into it.

I will give thanks to you, for you have answered me, and have become my salvation.

The stone which the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.

This is the LORD’s doing. It is marvelous in our eyes.

This is the day that the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it!

Save us now, we beg you, LORD! LORD, we beg you, send prosperity now.

Blessed is he who comes in the LORD’s name! We have blessed you out of the LORD’s house.

The LORD is God, and he has given us light. Bind the sacrifice with cords, even to the horns of the altar.

You are my God, and I will give thanks to you. You are my God, I will exalt you.

Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever.
El clamor ante la puerta
El ruego "salva ahora" del v.25 es el hosanna hebreo, junto con "Bendito el que viene en nombre de Jehová" (v.26). Aquí son palabras de un adorador que llega al templo tras sobrevivir a un asedio, y atan la víctima a los cuernos del altar.
