A palavra do SENHOR que veio a Miqueias, de Moresete, nos dias de Jotão, Acaz e Ezequias, reis de Judá, a qual ele viu a respeito de Samaria e Jerusalém.

Ouçam, povos, todos vocês! Escute, ó terra, e tudo o que nela há. Que o Senhor DEUS seja testemunha contra vocês, o Senhor desde o seu santo templo.

Pois eis que, o SENHOR sai do seu lugar, e descerá, e pisará sobre os lugares altos da terra.
- 4
Os montes se derretem debaixo dele, e os vales se fendem como a cera diante do fogo, como águas que escorrem por uma encosta íngreme.

“Tudo isso por causa da desobediência de Jacó, e pelos pecados da casa de Israel. Qual é a desobediência de Jacó? Não é Samaria? E quais são os lugares altos de Judá? Não são Jerusalém?

Portanto, farei de Samaria um monte de ruínas no campo, como um lugar para plantar vinhas; e despejarei as suas pedras no vale, e descobrirei os seus alicerces.
- 7
Todos os seus ídolos serão despedaçados, todas as suas ofertas do templo serão queimadas no fogo, e destruirei todas as suas imagens; pois com o salário de prostituta ela os ajuntou, e como salário de prostituta eles voltarão.”

Por isso lamentarei e gemerei. Andarei despojado e nu. Uivarei como os chacais e chorarei como os avestruzes.

Pois as feridas dela são incuráveis; pois isso chegou até Judá. Alcança até a porta do meu povo, até a própria Jerusalém.

Não anunciem isso em Gate. Não chorem de forma alguma. Em Bete-Leafra eu me revolvi no pó.
- 11
Passe adiante, habitante de Safir, em nudez e vergonha. A habitante de Zaanã não sairá. O lamento de Bete-Ezel tirará de vocês a sua proteção.

Pois a habitante de Marote espera ansiosamente pelo bem, porque o mal desceu da parte do SENHOR até a porta de Jerusalém.

Atrele a carruagem ao cavalo veloz, habitante de Laquis. Ela foi o princípio do pecado para a filha de Sião; pois as transgressões de Israel foram encontradas em você.

Portanto, você dará um presente de despedida a Moresete-Gate. As casas de Aczibe serão uma coisa enganosa para os reis de Israel.

Ainda trarei um conquistador a vocês, habitantes de Maressa. A glória de Israel chegará até Adulão.

Raspem a cabeça, e cortem os cabelos por causa dos filhos das suas delícias. Ampliem a sua calvície como a do abutre, pois eles foram levados cativos para longe de vocês!

The LORD’s word that came to Micah of Morasheth in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.

Hear, you peoples, all of you! Listen, O earth, and all that is therein. Let the Lord GOD be witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple.

For behold, the LORD comes out of his place, and will come down and tread on the high places of the earth.

The mountains melt under him, and the valleys split apart like wax before the fire, like waters that are poured down a steep place.

“All this is for the disobedience of Jacob, and for the sins of the house of Israel. What is the disobedience of Jacob? Isn’t it Samaria? And what are the high places of Judah? Aren’t they Jerusalem?

Therefore I will make Samaria like a rubble heap of the field, like places for planting vineyards; and I will pour down its stones into the valley, and I will uncover its foundations.

All her idols will be beaten to pieces, all her temple gifts will be burned with fire, and I will destroy all her images; for of the hire of a prostitute has she gathered them, and to the hire of a prostitute shall they return.”

For this I will lament and wail. I will go stripped and naked. I will howl like the jackals and mourn like the ostriches.

For her wounds are incurable; for it has come even to Judah. It reaches to the gate of my people, even to Jerusalem.

Don’t tell it in Gath. Don’t weep at all. At Beth Ophrah I have rolled myself in the dust.

Pass on, inhabitant of Shaphir, in nakedness and shame. The inhabitant of Zaanan won’t come out. The wailing of Beth Ezel will take from you his protection.

For the inhabitant of Maroth waits anxiously for good, because evil has come down from the LORD to the gate of Jerusalem.

Harness the chariot to the swift steed, inhabitant of Lachish. She was the beginning of sin to the daughter of Zion; for the transgressions of Israel were found in you.

Therefore you will give a parting gift to Moresheth Gath. The houses of Achzib will be a deceitful thing to the kings of Israel.
- 15
I will yet bring a conqueror to you, inhabitants of Mareshah. The glory of Israel will come to Adullam.
- 16
Shave your heads, and cut off your hair for the children of your delight. Enlarge your baldness like the vulture, for they have gone into captivity from you!
