Então novamente levantei meus olhos e vi, e eis que um pergaminho voador.

Ele me disse: “O que você vê?”. Respondi: “Vejo um pergaminho voador; seu comprimento é de vinte cúbitos, e sua largura de dez cúbitos”.

Então ele me disse: “Esta é a maldição que se estende sobre a superfície de toda a terra, pois todo aquele que rouba será cortado de acordo com ela de um lado; e todo aquele que jurar falsamente será cortado de acordo com ela do outro lado”.

Eu a farei sair”, diz Javé dos Exércitos, “e entrará na casa do ladrão, e na casa daquele que jurar falsamente pelo meu nome; e permanecerá no meio de sua casa, e a destruirá com sua madeira e suas pedras”.

Então o anjo que falou comigo se aproximou e me disse: “Levantem agora os olhos e vejam o que é isto que está aparecendo”.

Eu disse: “O que é isso?” Ele disse: “Esta é a cesta efah que está aparecendo”. Ele disse ainda: “Esta é a aparência deles em toda a terra -

e eis que uma tampa de chumbo pesando um talento foi levantada - e havia uma mulher sentada no meio da cesta da efah ”.

Ele disse: “Isto é maldade”; e ele a jogou no meio da cesta da efah; e jogou o peso de chumbo na boca dela.

Então levantei os olhos e vi, e eis que havia duas mulheres; e o vento estava em suas asas. Agora elas tinham asas como as asas de uma cegonha, e levantaram a cesta efah entre a terra e o céu.

Então eu disse ao anjo que falou comigo: “Onde estão estes carregando a cesta da efah?

Ele me disse: “Para construir-lhe uma casa no terreno de Shinar”. Quando ela estiver preparada, ela será colocada lá em seu próprio lugar”.

Then again I lifted up my eyes and saw, and behold, a flying scroll.

He said to me, “What do you see?” I answered, “I see a flying scroll; its length is twenty cubits, and its width ten cubits.”

Then he said to me, “This is the curse that goes out over the surface of the whole land, for everyone who steals shall be cut off according to it on the one side; and everyone who swears falsely shall be cut off according to it on the other side.

I will cause it to go out,” says the LORD of Armies, “and it will enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him who swears falsely by my name; and it will remain in the middle of his house, and will destroy it with its timber and its stones.”

Then the angel who talked with me came forward and said to me, “Lift up now your eyes and see what this is that is appearing.”

I said, “What is it?” He said, “This is the ephah basket that is appearing.” He said moreover, “This is their appearance in all the land—

and behold, a lead cover weighing one talent was lifted up—and there was a woman sitting in the middle of the ephah basket.”

He said, “This is Wickedness;” and he threw her down into the middle of the ephah basket; and he threw the lead weight on its mouth.

Then I lifted up my eyes and saw, and behold, there were two women; and the wind was in their wings. Now they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the ephah basket between earth and the sky.

Then I said to the angel who talked with me, “Where are these carrying the ephah basket?”

He said to me, “To build her a house in the land of Shinar. When it is prepared, she will be set there in her own place.”
