A palavra do SENHOR veio a mim novamente, dizendo:

“Filho do homem, diga ao príncipe de Tiro: ‘Assim diz o Senhor DEUS: “Como o seu coração se exaltou, e você disse: ‘Eu sou um deus, eu me assento no trono de Deus, no meio dos mares;’ contudo, você é homem, e não deus, embora você iguale o seu coração ao coração de um deus —

eis que você é mais sábio que Daniel. Não há segredo que esteja oculto a você.
- 4
Pela sua sabedoria e pelo seu entendimento você adquiriu riquezas, e acumulou ouro e prata em seus tesouros.
- 5
Pela sua grande sabedoria e pelo seu comércio você aumentou as suas riquezas, e o seu coração se exaltou por causa das suas riquezas —”

“‘portanto, assim diz o Senhor DEUS: “Como você igualou o seu coração ao coração de Deus,
- 7
portanto, eis que trarei estrangeiros contra você, os mais terríveis das nações. Eles desembainharão as suas espadas contra a beleza da sua sabedoria. Eles profanarão o seu esplendor.

Eles o farão descer à cova. Você morrerá a morte dos que são mortos no coração dos mares.
- 9
Você ainda dirá diante daquele que o mata: ‘Eu sou Deus’? Mas você é homem, e não Deus, nas mãos daquele que o fere.
- 10
Você morrerá a morte dos incircuncisos pelas mãos de estrangeiros; pois eu falei”, diz o Senhor DEUS.’”

Além disso, a palavra do SENHOR veio a mim, dizendo:

“Filho do homem, levante uma lamentação sobre o rei de Tiro, e diga-lhe: ‘Assim diz o Senhor DEUS: “Você era o selo da medida completa, cheio de sabedoria, e perfeito em beleza.

Você estava no Éden, o jardim de Deus. Toda pedra preciosa o adornava: rubi, topázio, esmeralda, crisólito, ônix, jaspe, safira, turquesa e berilo. O trabalho em ouro dos seus tamborins e das suas flautas estava em você. Eles foram preparados no dia em que você foi criado.

Você era o querubim ungido que cobre. Então eu o estabeleci no monte santo de Deus. Você andava de um lado para outro no meio das pedras de fogo.

Você era perfeito em seus caminhos desde o dia em que foi criado, até que se achou iniquidade em você.

Pela abundância do seu comércio, o seu interior se encheu de violência, e você pecou. Portanto, eu o lancei como profano fora do monte de Deus. Eu o destruí, ó querubim que cobre, do meio das pedras de fogo.

O seu coração se exaltou por causa da sua beleza. Você corrompeu a sua sabedoria por causa do seu esplendor. Eu o lancei por terra. Eu o coloquei diante de reis, para que o vejam.

Pela multidão das suas iniquidades, na injustiça do seu comércio, você profanou os seus santuários. Portanto, fiz sair um fogo do meio de você. Ele o devorou. Eu o reduzi a cinzas sobre a terra à vista de todos os que o veem.

Todos os que o conhecem entre os povos ficarão espantados com você. Você se tornou um terror, e você não existirá mais.”’”

A palavra do SENHOR veio a mim, dizendo:

“Filho do homem, volte o seu rosto para Sidom, e profetize contra ela,
- 22
e diga: ‘Assim diz o Senhor DEUS: “Eis que eu sou contra você, Sidom. Serei glorificado no meio de você. Então eles saberão que eu sou o SENHOR, quando eu tiver executado juízos nela, e for santificado nela.

Pois enviarei peste sobre ela, e sangue nas suas ruas. Os feridos cairão no meio dela, com a espada contra ela por todos os lados. Então eles saberão que eu sou o SENHOR.

“‘“Não haverá mais espinheiro que fure para a casa de Israel, nem espinho que machuque de nenhum dos que estão ao seu redor e que os desprezaram. Então eles saberão que eu sou o Senhor DEUS.”

“‘Assim diz o Senhor DEUS: “Quando eu tiver congregado a casa de Israel dentre os povos entre os quais estão espalhados, e me manifestar como santo entre eles à vista das nações, então eles habitarão na sua própria terra, a qual dei ao meu servo Jacó.
- 26
Eles habitarão nela em segurança. Sim, eles construirão casas, plantarão vinhas e habitarão em segurança, quando eu tiver executado juízos sobre todos os que estão ao seu redor e que os trataram com desprezo. Então eles saberão que eu sou o SENHOR, o seu Deus.”’”

The LORD’s word came again to me, saying,

“Son of man, tell the prince of Tyre, ‘The Lord GOD says: “Because your heart is lifted up, and you have said, ‘I am a god, I sit in the seat of God, in the middle of the seas;’ yet you are man, and no god, though you set your heart as the heart of a god—

behold, you are wiser than Daniel. There is no secret that is hidden from you.
- 4
By your wisdom and by your understanding you have gotten yourself riches, and have gotten gold and silver into your treasuries.
- 5
By your great wisdom and by your trading you have increased your riches, and your heart is lifted up because of your riches—”

“‘therefore the Lord GOD says: “Because you have set your heart as the heart of God,
- 7
therefore, behold, I will bring strangers on you, the terrible of the nations. They will draw their swords against the beauty of your wisdom. They will defile your brightness.
- 8
They will bring you down to the pit. You will die the death of those who are slain in the heart of the seas.
- 9
Will you yet say before him who kills you, ‘I am God’? But you are man, and not God, in the hand of him who wounds you.
- 10
You will die the death of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers; for I have spoken it,” says the Lord GOD.’”

Moreover the LORD’s word came to me, saying,
- 12
“Son of man, take up a lamentation over the king of Tyre, and tell him, ‘The Lord GOD says: “You were the seal of full measure, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.

You were in Eden, the garden of God. Every precious stone adorned you: ruby, topaz, emerald, chrysolite, onyx, jasper, sapphire, turquoise, and beryl. Gold work of tambourines and of pipes was in you. They were prepared in the day that you were created.
- 14
You were the anointed cherub who covers. Then I set you up on the holy mountain of God. You have walked up and down in the middle of the stones of fire.
- 15
You were perfect in your ways from the day that you were created, until unrighteousness was found in you.
- 16
By the abundance of your commerce, your insides were filled with violence, and you have sinned. Therefore I have cast you as profane out of God’s mountain. I have destroyed you, covering cherub, from the middle of the stones of fire.
- 17
Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty. You have corrupted your wisdom by reason of your splendor. I have cast you to the ground. I have laid you before kings, that they may see you.
- 18
By the multitude of your iniquities, in the unrighteousness of your commerce, you have profaned your sanctuaries. Therefore I have brought out a fire from the middle of you. It has devoured you. I have turned you to ashes on the earth in the sight of all those who see you.

All those who know you among the peoples will be astonished at you. You have become a terror, and you will exist no more.”’”

The LORD’s word came to me, saying,
- 21
“Son of man, set your face toward Sidon, and prophesy against it,
- 22
and say, ‘The Lord GOD says: “Behold, I am against you, Sidon. I will be glorified among you. Then they will know that I am the LORD, when I have executed judgments in her, and am sanctified in her.
- 23
For I will send pestilence into her, and blood into her streets. The wounded will fall within her, with the sword on her on every side. Then they will know that I am the LORD.

“‘“There will no longer be a pricking brier to the house of Israel, nor a hurting thorn of any that are around them that scorned them. Then they will know that I am the Lord GOD.”

“‘The Lord GOD says: “When I have gathered the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they are scattered, and am shown as holy among them in the sight of the nations, then they will dwell in their own land which I gave to my servant Jacob.
- 26
They will dwell in it securely. Yes, they will build houses, plant vineyards, and will dwell securely when I have executed judgments on all those around them who have treated them with contempt. Then they will know that I am the LORD their God.”’”
