Therefore, seeing we have this ministry, even as we obtained mercy, we don’t faint.
- 2
But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by the manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.

Even if our Good News is veiled, it is veiled in those who are dying,
- 4
in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them.

For we don’t preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake,
- 6
seeing it is God who said, “Light will shine out of darkness,” who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

But we have this treasure in clay vessels, that the exceeding greatness of the power may be of God and not from ourselves.
- 8
We are pressed on every side, yet not crushed; perplexed, yet not to despair;
- 9
pursued, yet not forsaken; struck down, yet not destroyed;
- 10
always carrying in the body the putting to death of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.
- 11
For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus may be revealed in our mortal flesh.
- 12
So then death works in us, but life in you.
- 13
But having the same spirit of faith, according to that which is written, “I believed, and therefore I spoke.” We also believe, and therefore we also speak,
- 14
knowing that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also through Jesus, and will present us with you.

For all things are for your sakes, that the grace, being multiplied through the many, may cause the thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.

Therefore we don’t faint, but though our outward person is decaying, yet our inward person is renewed day by day.
- 17
For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory,
- 18
while we don’t look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Portanto, vendo que temos este ministério, mesmo quando obtemos misericórdia, não desmaiamos.

Mas renunciamos às coisas ocultas da vergonha, não andando com astúcia nem manipulando a palavra de Deus de forma enganosa, mas pela manifestação da verdade, recomendando-nos à consciência de cada homem aos olhos de Deus.

Mesmo que nossa Boa Nova seja velada, ela é velada naqueles que estão morrendo,
- 4
nos quais o deus deste mundo cegou a mente dos incrédulos, para que a luz da Boa Nova da glória de Cristo, que é a imagem de Deus, não amanheça sobre eles.

Pois nós não pregamos a nós mesmos, mas a Cristo Jesus como Senhor, e a nós mesmos como seus servos por causa de Jesus,

seeing foi Deus quem disse: “A luz brilhará das trevas”, que brilhou em nossos corações para dar a luz do conhecimento da glória de Deus no rosto de Jesus Cristo.

Mas temos este tesouro em vasos de barro, para que a grandeza excessiva do poder possa ser de Deus e não de nós mesmos.

We são pressionados de todos os lados, mas não esmagados; perplexos, mas não desesperados;
- 9
pursued, mas não abandonados; abatidos, mas não destruídos;
- 10
sempre carregando no corpo a morte do Senhor Jesus, para que a vida de Jesus também seja revelada em nosso corpo.
- 11
Pois nós que vivemos somos sempre entregues à morte por Jesus, para que também a vida de Jesus possa ser revelada em nossa carne mortal.

Portanto, a morte trabalha em nós, mas a vida em você.
- 13
Mas tendo o mesmo espírito de fé, de acordo com o que está escrito: “Eu acreditei, e por isso falei”. Nós também cremos, e por isso também falamos,
- 14
sabendo que aquele que levantou o Senhor Jesus nos levantará também com Jesus, e nos apresentará com vocês.
- 15
Pois tudo é para o seu bem, para que a graça, sendo multiplicada por muitos, possa fazer com que a ação de graças abunde para a glória de Deus.
- 16
Portanto, não desmaiamos, mas embora nossa pessoa exterior esteja em decadência, nossa pessoa interior é renovada dia após dia.

Para nossa leve aflição, que é por enquanto, trabalha para nós cada vez mais um peso eterno de glória,
- 18
enquanto não olhamos para as coisas que são vistas, mas para as coisas que não são vistas. Pois as coisas que são vistas são temporais, mas as coisas que não são vistas são eternas.
