“Listen to this, you priests! Listen, house of Israel, and give ear, house of the king! For the judgment is against you; for you have been a snare at Mizpah, and a net spread on Tabor.

The rebels are deep in slaughter, but I discipline all of them.

I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hidden from me; for now, Ephraim, you have played the prostitute. Israel is defiled.

Their deeds won’t allow them to turn to their God, for the spirit of prostitution is within them, and they don’t know the LORD.

The pride of Israel testifies to his face. Therefore Israel and Ephraim will stumble in their iniquity. Judah also will stumble with them.

They will go with their flocks and with their herds to seek the LORD, but they won’t find him. He has withdrawn himself from them.

They are unfaithful to the LORD; for they have borne illegitimate children. Now the new moon will devour them with their fields.

“Blow the cornet in Gibeah, and the trumpet in Ramah! Sound a battle cry at Beth Aven, behind you, Benjamin!

Ephraim will become a desolation in the day of rebuke. Among the tribes of Israel, I have made known that which will surely be.

The princes of Judah are like those who remove a landmark. I will pour out my wrath on them like water.

Ephraim is oppressed, he is crushed in judgment, because he is intent in his pursuit of idols.

Therefore I am to Ephraim like a moth, and to the house of Judah like rottenness.

“When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah his wound, then Ephraim went to Assyria, and sent to King Jareb: but he is not able to heal you, neither will he cure you of your wound.

For I will be to Ephraim like a lion, and like a young lion to the house of Judah. I myself will tear in pieces and go away. I will carry off, and there will be no one to deliver.

I will go and return to my place, until they acknowledge their offense, and seek my face. In their affliction they will seek me earnestly.”

“Ouçam isto, sacerdotes! Escutem, casa de Israel, e deem ouvidos, casa do rei! Pois o juízo é contra vocês; porque vocês têm sido uma armadilha em Mispá, e uma rede estendida sobre o Tabor.

Os rebeldes se aprofundaram na matança, mas eu disciplinarei a todos eles.

Eu conheço Efraim, e Israel não está escondido de mim; pois agora, Efraim, você se prostituiu. Israel está contaminado.

As suas obras não lhes permitem voltar para o seu Deus, pois o espírito de prostituição está dentro deles, e eles não conhecem o SENHOR.

O orgulho de Israel testifica contra ele em sua face. Portanto, Israel e Efraim tropeçarão em sua iniquidade. Judá também tropeçará com eles.

Eles irão com os seus rebanhos e com o seu gado buscar o SENHOR, mas não o encontrarão. Ele se retirou do meio deles.

Eles são infiéis ao SENHOR; pois geraram filhos ilegítimos. Agora a lua nova os devorará junto com os seus campos.

“Toquem a trombeta em Gibeá, e o clarim em Ramá! Deem o grito de guerra em Bete-Áven; atrás de você, Benjamim!

Efraim se tornará uma desolação no dia da repreensão. Entre as tribos de Israel, eu fiz conhecido o que certamente acontecerá.

Os príncipes de Judá são como aqueles que mudam os marcos de divisa. Derramarei a minha ira sobre eles como água.

Efraim está oprimido, ele está esmagado no juízo, porque ele está determinado em sua busca por ídolos.

Portanto, sou para Efraim como uma traça, e para a casa de Judá como podridão.

“Quando Efraim viu a sua doença, e Judá a sua ferida, então Efraim foi para a Assíria, e enviou mensageiros ao rei Jarebe: mas ele não é capaz de curar vocês, nem os curará da sua ferida.

Pois serei para Efraim como um leão, e como um leão jovem para a casa de Judá. Eu mesmo os despedaçarei e irei embora. Eu os levarei, e não haverá ninguém para livrar.
- 15
Irei e voltarei para o meu lugar, até que reconheçam a sua ofensa, e busquem a minha face. Em sua aflição eles me buscarão fervorosamente.”
