Quando ele abriu o sétimo selo, houve silêncio no céu por cerca de meia hora.

Eu vi os sete anjos que estão diante de Deus, e sete trombetas foram dadas a eles.

Outro anjo veio e ficou sobre o altar, tendo um incensário dourado. Muito incenso lhe foi dado, para que ele o acrescentasse às orações de todos os santos sobre o altar dourado que estava diante do trono.

A fumaça do incenso, com as orações dos santos, subiu da mão do anjo diante de Deus.

O anjo pegou o incensário e o encheu com o fogo do altar, depois o atirou sobre a terra. Seguiram-se trovões, sons, relâmpagos e um terremoto.

Os sete anjos que tinham as sete trombetas se prepararam para tocar.

O primeiro soou, e lá seguiu granizo e fogo, misturado com sangue, e eles foram jogados na terra. Um terço da terra foi queimado, e um terço das árvores foi queimado, e toda a grama verde foi queimada.

O segundo anjo soou, e algo como uma grande montanha em chamas foi lançado ao mar. Um terço do mar tornou-se sangue,

e um terço dos seres vivos que estavam no mar morreram. Um terço dos navios foi destruído.

O terceiro anjo soou, e uma grande estrela caiu do céu, ardendo como uma tocha, e caiu sobre um terço dos rios, e sobre as nascentes de água.

O nome da estrela é “Wormwood”. Um terço das águas transformou-se em absinto. Muitas pessoas morreram por causa das águas, porque se tornaram amargas.

O quarto anjo soou, e um terço do sol foi atingido, e um terço da lua, e um terço das estrelas, para que um terço delas escurecesse; e o dia não brilharia por um terço dele, e a noite da mesma forma.

Eu vi, e ouvi uma águia, voando no meio do céu, dizendo com uma voz alta: “Ai! Ai! Ai daqueles que habitam sobre a terra, por causa dos outros disparos das trombetas dos três anjos, que ainda estão para soar”!

When he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.

I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them.

Another angel came and stood over the altar, having a golden censer. Much incense was given to him, that he should add it to the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar which was before the throne.

The smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, went up before God out of the angel’s hand.

The angel took the censer, and he filled it with the fire of the altar, then threw it on the earth. Thunders, sounds, lightnings, and an earthquake followed.

The seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.

The first sounded, and there followed hail and fire, mixed with blood, and they were thrown to the earth. One third of the earth was burned up, and one third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up.

The second angel sounded, and something like a great burning mountain was thrown into the sea. One third of the sea became blood,

and one third of the living creatures which were in the sea died. One third of the ships were destroyed.

The third angel sounded, and a great star fell from the sky, burning like a torch, and it fell on one third of the rivers, and on the springs of water.

The name of the star is “Wormwood.” One third of the waters became wormwood. Many people died from the waters, because they were made bitter.

The fourth angel sounded, and one third of the sun was struck, and one third of the moon, and one third of the stars, so that one third of them would be darkened; and the day wouldn’t shine for one third of it, and the night in the same way.

I saw, and I heard an eagle, flying in mid heaven, saying with a loud voice, “Woe! Woe! Woe to those who dwell on the earth, because of the other blasts of the trumpets of the three angels, who are yet to sound!”
